I like it when people individualise each c900, nothing more boring than a stock c900 to me, so Orca looks fantastic!

I should clarify something here - the Houndstooth finish is not my car. That belongs to a chap on SC called 85spgATL ... personally, I think I'd get travel sick with that finish but I think he's done a good job and it looks really nicely padded. It's bold, brave and individual. Notice the metal Shadow louvre, too My car is finished in leatherette for the parcel shelf, speaker housings and door inserts ... I'm going to car the door cards too one day. The C-pillars and headliner are black crushed velvet. Oh yeah

So, a note to anyone who needs to do this job and has a little sense of humour and individuality, pop down to your local market and have a look at the fabrics. Synthetic fluffy pink "sheepskin"? Leopard print? Cow hide? Just make sure it has a little stretch, grab some foam that will fully compress and cop an armful of cans of proper headliner glue from, say, Woolies ... have fun.

Who was the chap here who started to undertake this job and the headliner snapped to then paper mache it back together and spray it black? He finished that job off by printing out loads of DVD covers and sticking them kind of randomly onto the headliner and C-pillar. Period SAAB brochures would be fun. Pages from the Bentley manual might make a good job, too ... and if you select the most referenced parts of your manual might get you out of a roadside fix one day

I remember now, I covered mines in a crushed grey alcantara, for sound deading purposes.

All very novel chaps and each to their own and I applaud your individualism

Any critique I have offered was that if you have an issue with your headlining and would like advice I'd rather that you called me to get the advice rather than make a mess of the job or indeed make the job 10 times harder. Though I would say that I get calls regularly from people who have had their headlining done by a trimmer and it was falling down within the year and DIY jobs that fall down with 2 weeks!!

But the dark colours inc black in the yellow/black one all contribute to a claustrophic feel inside the car ... at least compared to the very light grey and beige originally fitted.

It is one fo the benefits of a new headlining that the old one iis usually a bit scruffy so once replaced the car feels much "airier".

The tartans would look better on the outside ..maybe as a graphic film

I did once consider having a Viggen or Drakken film over my white car to spruce it up a bit ..make it a little more exciting ... or maybe the BMW / Andy Warhol racing graphics

This is true, even the grey reduced the ambient light in my car, but I have limo tints in the back and 35% light reduction in the front, I like the privacy it offers from car thief's and general nosey buggers. this is also why I added twenty eight 10mm Hyper white LEDs because the interior lighting is weak in the first place.
