Hello and advice

Hello,

I have a Saab 9-3 Aero T 2.0 saloon 2007 with 73k miles on the clock that belonged to my late dad (who passed away in April this year), he always had Saabs for many years. I am needing to sell it and I know this isn’t the place to offer to sell it, but I don’t know if anyone can give me an appropriate price or range. I am assuming there’s a classified section here it can go on. It’s in reasonable condition, wasn’t driven that much (especially last few years), have MOT till April 24. There’s one issue which is the passenger side doors don’t work with the central locking though they can be locked. A mechanic looked at it and said if I was selling it probably not worth fixing. It’s been checked over by mechanic, changed a brake pad and replaced a light that was faulty. It seems to drive well.

Apologies if this is not the right place to ask this question. I’m just dealing with a lot of things estate wise and would like to get this sorted. A friend said a Saab forum might be a good place to seek advice.

Thank you for any help or advice you can provide.
Martin

Moved to “What’s it Worth”.

Condolences on the loss of your father.

I have moved this to the correct part of the forum for valuations.
Please note this section is not to be used to “sell” the car. UKS has a strict rule about there being no ads placed anywhere but the classifieds.
Any sales negotiations spotted on this thread will result in the thread being locked or removed.

Once you have settled on an asking price please place an ad in the classifieds.

Hello Martin, I'm sorry for your loss and the subsequent need to sell your late Father's car.

The low mileage and long MOT are points in it's favour which may make it more saleable.

Photograph(s) would also help, as would the registration number for the MOT history.

Without seeing the car, and in the absence of any more detailed information, I would think a figure of around £1500 may not be unrealistic, although as always, others' opinions may differ.

Regards, John.

For current market values there is no real requirement for a detailed description or photo's. The OP's current description is more than sufficient for a ball park figure.

There is a fine line between a full on ad and what is required for an approximate value.

There are examples for sale on eBay (completed listings will give you a good idea of values), Autotrader plus the classifieds on here along with the archive on here will give an idea of values from which to set a a fair asking price.
