2010 9-5 Estate

Our old 9-5 Turbo Edition estate which was passed to a family member in 2015 is now going to a much younger family member. I have checked out prices on webuyanycar and looked at e-Bay. Huge variations. So what would be a reasonable price for the young one to pay to her aunt? One that is fair to both parties.

We bought the car new in 2010 and it has had one family member owner since then. It was dealer serviced for five years and has been regularly serviced by a small independent Saab specialist since then. There are 89000 miles on the clock and the body looks in excellent condition. Four new tyres recently fitted and various minor mechanical/electrical repairs have been carried out over the years. Everything works apart from the wing mirrors which do not now fold.

Many thanks in advance for your opinions.

When looking at inter-family deals, which I've done three or four times, I would look at dealer prices and remove an amount for profit and warranty risk. Then I went to "we buy any car" and doubled that value. The "family value" we have agreed is between the two.

Also remember that suggestions that you should discount more because "he's family", should be countered by saying that you are family too.
