Probably my favourite car,in my favourite colour with the correct interior. Sadly won’t be coming to our house but will be interested to see what it makes.

Nice looker. I'm not that sold on silver cars, even though I have a couple. Also, tucked into the text a good way down "Other than an issue with 5th gear requiring a bit more effort to engage, the car has no known mechanical or electrical faults." a reminder of why you should read all the advert. The write up also says in the same paragraph "happily keeps up with modern traffic". I would have thought with a Stg1 it would embarrass much of modern traffic even without the tune.

Would we say that the ad is directed at the general public rather than saabists? But there again I wonder why car ads get excited about electric windows nowadays. Am I officially getting "old"?

Interior looks very good, likewise paint in decent condition.
I would disagree with 'rare manual' desirable manual maybe but manual Aeros outnumber autos 4 or 5 to 1 according to howmanyleft.
Likewise a ways down the advert

"the vehicle is beginning to show signs of rust bubbling on the front wings"

Which in my experience has been the last symptom to show of rusty arches and won't be cheap.

Interesting to see how much it goes for, such a steal for the amount of car compared to same era German executives.

My estimate, would be surprised to see it crack £2600.

It does look good and the advert sells it really well but I can't shake a feeling of dishonesty. No where does the advert mention the millage, which i had to zoom in on the dash tho read (192k).

Rust sounds like superficial problem but in actual fact chassis needs welding soon

Brake pipe corroded, covered in grease or other material front to rear (1.1.11 (c))
Central Front Inner Brake hose has slight corrosion to ferrule (1.1.12 (f) (i))
Nearside Front Inner Integral body structure or chassis corroded within 30cm of a mounting, but not seriously affecting overall security (6.2.2 (d) (i))
Central Rear Inner Integral body structure is corroded but structural rigidity is not significantly reduced (6.1.1 (c) (i))
Nearside Rear Inner Anti-roll bar pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement (5.3.4 (a) (i))
Central Front Oil leak, but not excessive (8.4.1 (a) (i))

If you open it on a desktop it shows the mileage in the summary at the top - listed at 192036. I agree though - looks nice on initial review but as you dive into the detail you see a car with average/high miles, rusty wings, advisories for corrosion and a problem with 5th gear. I wouldn't go for it at the current price. Interior looks nice though...

Sold £2500, bang on about right I'd say, small project and will make a nice runner.

I'll qualify. Couple of thousand to fix the corrosion, hopefully less if not too bad, and if the buyer can replace dodgy gear in-house will have cost the price of the average aero or maybe a little less.

Mind I'm not sure how hard replacement parts are to come by for the gearboxes.
