He has now reduced it to £14k and updated the description!

Sounds like it's worth about 14p based on that description.

Surely a joke ad?

Do folk really post 'joke' ads, 'TwyRob'? If so, what would be the point, other than to waste everyone's time?

I wouldn't have given that a second glance had my attention not been drawn to it by this thread.

What I would expect of any car advertised for this amount of money - or even one tenth of it - would be: (a) that it would start, (b) that when it did the EML light would not be on and (c) that it would have working headlights and power steering. Joke ad or not, when viewed in that light the seller is definitely having a laugh!

Regards, John.

My advice to the seller would be this"Get the faults sorted out, all of them" then "check the actual selling prices of equivalent cars and price accordingly". Fixing the defects won't increase the selling price by one penny but will increase the desirability of the car and thus the likelihood of actually selling it.

As it is, I would say it isn't worth more than £500 to £800 because of the potential cost of fixing the problems.

This is also a good example of why an MOT isn't worth the paper it is written on. Personally, I wouldn't touch it as it is but someone may be looking for a challenge.

Perhaps not even written by the owner and some kind of prank? I don't know, however I simply can't believe that this is for real.

If it is then I want £75k for my Turbo X and not a penny less. ;)

Two days left, I've got it in my eBay watching and probably have so many others for a laugh. He's not a hope of selling this, I tried cazana to check old adverts but it's long gone.
If I had the money I'd prefer a turbo X or stretch for s carlsson.

I asked the guy if the price was a typo. He said no. I mean, if this car was mint, had 0 faults, 10k miles & was an aero, he may get 2/3 of FOURTEEN GRAND ...

A Turbo X can be had for half this asking price and a Carlsson shouldn't really ever be over £13k in my opinion.

This seller is crackers.

hold on - dude wants over 22k for a set of board games in his other items.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/114921559493

This must be for money laundering? Gets a 'mate' to buy it and then can explain the 22 grand in the bag under the stairs ....

and 170 quid to send these board games too.

I asked him as well. Didn't get a reply either.
Wonder if he overpaid and he's actually thinking it's a great car and can make a bob or two.
I thought all anniversary models had rear sensors too, wrong wheels....I bet the interior is shocking.

Something odd going on there, surely. I did read once that if sellers are going away, they sometimes put a ridiculous price for items because otherwise they would have to end the listing and relist, which costs more.

This is one of my favourite over priced Saab parts on ebay. Been for sale a long, long time. Postage rather punitive too.
