What’s a realistic price for my 1993 900 16S

I have had it almost 17 years and it has many rare and desirable parts on or with it.

I will all some photos soon as possible

Carlsson bumpers and air flow wheel arches, not Carlsson arches, these bolt on fron inside the wheel arch and are more rounded.

Its a black 16S with Grey leather, currently has grey 9000 Aero front seats, all working with new heating elements and 9000 thermostat switches, I also have the matching rear seats but it has standard dove grey leather rear seats in it, I have the Turbo S front seats in the loft with the suede inserts.

At the moment its on 16 inch open lug Aero’s with new tyres and also has 6 x 16 inch Carlsson Aero’s 4 with new tyres, these need a refurb but all straight and air tight etc.

Turbo S door cards with the leather padding and also a spare set of standard panels in good shape.

Loads of tuning done years ago and all still good as below.

Full 3 inch stainless exhaust with two strght through magna flow silencers
Tubular stainless equal length exhaust manifold.
2.1 Inlet modified to fit a 2.3T b234 head
Ported and polished b234 head.
Trionic T5 Converted with trigger cut in flywheel, flywheel lightened and balanced
2.3 Turbo clutch
Cosworth style front radiator/intercooler setup, new alloy radiator 12 months ago.
Front and rear Bilstein Shocks
2.3 discs and calipers, new disc just fitted
Custom braided hoses all round
New front disc back plates last year
Both front wheel bearings new last year
Four front ball joints last year
New carpet mats last year
New Battery 2 months ago
Short shifter
New bonnet a few years back so no rust.

It goes on and on but that’s a fair summary will have 12 months MOT

What’s it worth??

I’ve been keeping a close eye on prices, I sold my T16s a few years back and have been considering another.
Prices seem to be all over the place with some crazy prices being asked a couple on car and classic priced very very strongly, but with no takers!
I think a realistic price for a decent T16s is anywhere between 5k - 8.5k. If it was exceptional maybe more.
Your car is quite modified, which can divide opinion - especially if their have been cosmetic enhancements (!). Personally it would put me off a bit. However if it is a good sound solid car with a decent MOT history (which for me means no major corrosion issues) then I would think the above is reasonably realistic.
Just my opinion though.

As already advised your looking in the region of £6k to £8k.
You may get a little more and you may see others advertised for more, but many of those have been up for sale for a longtime.

Also as advised the fact that it has been heavily modified may put some off, as would the MOT history.

Stick it in the classifieds for what you would like for it (I’m sure you know what you would not take for it, so you probably have a reasonable idea on what it’s worth), if it does not sell lower the price.

It is thought that this thread needs a reminder of the rules for this forum.

This forum is not to used as an alternative to posting an ad in the classifieds.
If its found or believed by an Admin/Moderator that the thread is a veiled ad or it manifests into a sales thread, the thread will be removed and the OP will be banned from using this section.

When replying to requests please be polite, respectful and honest. If you can't do that, please don't post.

No need to say 'stick it on eBay with a good listing, a 99p start and no reserve' because we have just said it right here...

No ''nice car mate'' or ''if I had the money'' type posts, they do not add any value to the thread and will just be removed.

No “pm sent” posts! These are not classified ads!!

Any threads or posts found to be breaking these simple rules will be removed.

Your thread was moved to a holding area earlier today as it read very much like a classified ad rather than the usual request for a valuation.

It was discussed by the moderators and it was decided that we would reinstate it, but with a reminder of the rules for posting in ''What's it Worth''.

As your thread had originally been posted by you in and moved by us from the Coffee Bar, it was thought you may not have familiarised yourself with the rules of this particular part of the forum.

It was also aimed as a reminder of the rules to anyone that posts on this thread or was tempted to make an offer via this thread.

Background - ''What's it Worth'' was started last year to keep all such questions in one place, as a source of opinions on values along with the classified archives as a ready resource for asking prices..

Unfortunately there are some that might see it as a means of posting an ad without stating an asking price which is required in the classifieds.
Hence the requirement for the forum rules. viewtopic.php?f=74&t=204863

Fair enough, I put it in the Coffee Bar as i didn't know this section had been added, there will be an ad at some point but I need to get an MOT first, i also wasn't sure on how to price it because of the parts that will go with it etc

When I'm ready I will post an ad with a price.

Cheers
Matt
