Very nice, Ebay listing removed by seller.
Probably overpriced by 1k at least but worth a go by the seller.

I own this CS Carlsson. I'm finding it really difficult to sell, I haven't had much interest in the 5 weeks it's been for sale. I'm convinced that it is worth at least £6k, it really is a lovely example. Is the market particularly bad at the moment? I presume the cost of living is having an effect... This is the reason I'm selling it!

It’s a beauty. I think cost of living is affecting sales of vintage cars below 10k.
Sure someone will see it and buy it soon. Good luck.

As this thread was started before you advertised your car on UKS it does not contravene the forum rules.

However this thread should not be used to promote or push the sale.

If you are happy for people to comment on the asking price and the state of the market in reference to your car then this thread will be allowed to run.

But if your not prepared for responses be they favourable or not you can ask for this thread to be locked now.

If you agree to comments on this thread or do not respond to this offer to lock the thread, it cannot be later locked if you do not like any of the comments made in follow up posts.

Thanks mentepazza. I think you're right re classic cars under £10k. None of the 9000s currently on sale seem to be selling, not quickly anyway.

I'm not looking to push the sale - just looking for advice and it doesn't matter to me whether it's favourable or not.

Thanks.

Roger that, the thread will be allowed to run as long as it does not become an extension of your ad.

The market is pretty flat at the moment, lots of highly priced cars are not moving.

As I always say the best will always command good values, but if it’s not A1 then they may struggle.

The 9000 is not yet as sought after as the C900, prices were rising but they are currently static just like many of the cars that are being offered.

If you desperately need a sale your price will need to drop below £5k.

Alternatively keep your fingers crossed for a rise in demand, I think you might be waiting a while though.

Currently people are keeping their cash in their pockets for essentials rather than what for most will be a hobby car. They are not buying for the same reason you are selling.

But if the price is attractive enough you may get a bite.

I do not think your asking price is attractive enough at the moment, if it was it would have sold by now.

Thanks Espin99T... I appreciate the advice. I had a couple of offers for £5k initially, which in hindsight I should have considered. I'm going to persevere for the time being.

It should get a bite at that price as its now a realistic price for what it is.

But knowing most SAAB buyers they will still expect something knocked off that figure :corn:
