"Will need to be towed away as the rad is leaking"
...and the tyres don't hold air
...and there's rust all over the place
...and there's a list of MOT advisories as long as your arm
...and it may have had a whale tale fitted in the past which is no longer there
...and it's not got any rear seats
...and it appears to have driven nearly 40,000 miles in the 12 years it's not been MOT'd

:loco:

…and it isn’t worth anything like £2,000

But apart from that it’s in great condition :wall:

I suppose with a stretch of the imagination, it is just possible that after covering less than 100 miles in almost 5 years, the (new?) owner managed to cover 36,892 miles before expiry of the last MOT before it was laid up?

Far more likely that it was in another country and thus didn't need a UK MOT.

£2000 is only the start price, it has a reserve on it.

It has, but if it isn't worth the starting price the reserve is irrelevant.

My point was that the seller is actually expecting it to make more than £2000

It might make that sort of money and more, but personally I would not be willing to pay anywhere near that for it.

Prices are on the rise, but there are lots of SAABs for sale that are not selling due to ambitious prices.

The best will always sell for good prices, the not so good will remain for sale for a while if priced optimistically.

Projects can fetch relatively good money, but they are often relisted when buyers realise just how much its going to cost to make it one of the best :corn:

I see the asking price for it is £2800 on Facebook.

Find a back seat, whale tail, and some tyres that stay inflated and it might be worth a bit more but £2,800... I don't think so.

I don't 'do' Facebook, but see that ebay auction ended this morning with no bids.

Its still listed on Facebook, seller is going to have to drop the price by a fair bit if they really do want to move it on.

Seems to have gained a back seat.
No radio though
Seven bids this time.
