Full comp for my Viggen is currently £357.

Add a stage 1 ECU and my current underwriters 'declined to insure me'. Cheapest quote is £665 with a £500 excess! And that's with Highway, who charged me peanuts for a stage 1 ECU on my NG900 :?

We have both our Saabs insured with Swiftcover. Very cheap and so far very happy with their service. The online system is great when it comes to changing vehicle. You do it all yourself and can get the new insurance certificate almost immediately.

Just insured my Land Rover with the Post Office. Currently offering £50 cash back for all new policies. Only cost £124 for TPFT. Also got £23.50 cash back by using Quidco, so policy only costing £50!!

Just renewed the two Classics (99T and 95V4) on the same limited mileage (combined) policy with Footman James - at £125, about £18 less than last year's premium :D. That includes 4 named drivers (all over 25) so, theoretically, both cars could be driven at the same time. Paperwork arrived in less than 24hrs - excellent service.

I'll add mine, as it's that time of year again:

Car-----------Last year-------------This year--------------Policy
9000 Aero-----Swift £300-----------Swift £270-------------Mine, fully comp, protected full, spouse, 12k miles, driveway
9000 2.0lpt----esure £320----------sheila £195-------------Mrs, fully comp, protected full, spouse, 5k miles, driveway, £45 cashback
Porsche 914---flux £130-------------pd james £84----------me, fully comp, 1.5k miles, carport, euro recovery, agreed value

we normally get recovery through green flag, though this will be up for review this year, as they aren't hugely cheap any more, and didn't exactly cover themselves with glory  when the exhaust dropped off the Aero in the lakes in February.

I've got 1 sp30

Mrs Swapped's 9000i was cheap with esure, but changing to her Anni 2.0lpt part way through cost too much from them, hence the silly high price shown for last year, and the move to sheila's.

i delete legal cover from all the above policies, which saves around £15-£25 per policy, and get legal assistance for any car in the household as a benefit of TIPEC (ind. Porsche enthusiasts club) membership, which costs £35.

I'll be working some more on getting the Aero below the £270 quoted, but I'm not expecting much off that, TBH.

£550 all-in as above for the two drivers in three cars is cheaper than I was quoted for a fleet policy.

I usually do my 9-3 vert through gocompare.com
Last year it brought up the cheapest as AIG at £614 and that was because I had no no-claims bonus due to my Jag getting written off.
This year when I typed in '1 years no claims' LV came up as the cheapest at £426

By the way, just this minute phoned them to see how much extra it will cost me if I upgrade my LPT to a HPT and they think about £80 extra.
Not bad at all.

Just got TPFT for a '99 9-5 for £262 from Admiral.

The next cheapest was ~£340 (fully comp).

Admiral seemed to be the only company that offered a lower price for TPFT.

Hi Folks, can anyone recommend an insurance company to insure a 64 bullnose, on limited mileage(about 3000).I've had a quote from Footman James, but was just wondering if any of you have had any cheap quotes from any other companies.

Cheers in advance

Will

We currently have the Turbo & Sonett covered through Hagerty. 3000 on Turbo & 1000 on Sonett Agreed Value. You do need to have the car garaged though. Had to go elsewhere for the TVR as they've stopped covering them (costing to much in claims :P ).

Should be worth giving them a ring 08700 420 220.

Hi Guys

Its renewal time - Last yr it was £700+ for fully comp with swift cover.

I have 7yrs no claims and no points, how can i get my price down. Can anyone suggest a cheap company or method?

Its my post code that is driving the price up, tried getting a quote at a friends house 30miles away and its 2/3 cheaper!!!

:-(
