Sluggish C900 electric windows.

Most C900s with electric windows will have become very sluggish by now.
Having pulled door cards off mine (several times, I might add!) cleaned all the rust away, greased the quadrant etc. it wasn’t getting any better. So I bit the bullet, filed down the peened pins that held the back of the gearbox cover back down and drilled through them. Readers, I have to tell you, it didn’t go well!
I then (given that it wasn’t going back together, any time soon) decided to strip it and see if there was a better way of doing this.
I split the motor from the gearbox (two small screws) and cleaned away the fossilized grease. I popped of the large wheel and the realised that two of the mounting screw holes are drilled all the way through. So…

Popped the other door card off, removed one of the screws, had a rummage in my box of useful things, got a grease nipple.
Drilled the screw through and tapped a thread in it. Screwed the grease nipple into that and put the screw back in the motor and pumped in some grease. (I forget what I used, but make sure it doesn’t attack Nylon)
Cycle the window up and down a few times, the first few you won’t notice any difference, then it speeds up and gets back to something like normal (although that was probably so long ago, you can’t remember!)
