With the increasing age of my car I’ve started wondering about it’s value / worth (especially as currently market value insurance would say it’s worth next to nothing) and hoping to get ideas from the collective.

It’s one owner from new, 46k miles, unmarked glacier blue, always been garaged and summer use only, serviced annually with all work done, bought with literally every option (comfort close, electric seats, sat nav etc) all working and doesn’t even have button peelings or any markings on the leather.
Paperwork for everything all the way back to PDI.

So is it worth more than normal or simply an old car? - I’m not planning on getting rid but wondering if agreed value to reflect the history, condition and care is warranted at the next renewal.

Any agreed value is usually based on market value for similar cars at the time of the agreed valuation, rather than the market value at the time of a claim.
The agreed valuation with most insurers is valid for 2 years, as long as you stay with the same insurer. Other insurers will not usually accept the valuation given by another insurer and its not transferable between insurers.

You will need to look for similar age and mileage cars from which to glean evidence of value.
The insurance underwriters will do the same. They will not necessarily accept your own valuation, hence why its an agreed value.
If your valuation agrees with theirs all is good, if not they will come back to you with their lower valuation.

I'm unable to help with the value of your car ,but its probably less than your hoping for.

Finding comparative cars was an issue (dealers with closest mileage examples have some “ambitious” prices hence asking here “what’s it worth”
Fully understand it may just simply be an old car and no point treating it any differently or expecting any difference in value / worth.
