Hi all,

Interested in a local Saab 95 that I have seen for sale. It is a 2009 1.9tid turbo auto estate model, heated front and rear seats etc so an ok spec.
Swirl flaps and egr removed and remapped to suit. Cam belt 3 years ago. Currently just over 100k miles.
It's clean inside and out, aside a slight scrape to the bumper on one side.

Full service history and appears to be owned by an enthusiast.

Asking price is in my opinion a little high and I would be grateful for some experienced insight to it's value if at all possible.

Thanks for any help you can offer.
Cheers

I viewed the car this week, absolutely beautiful I have to say, immaculate interior and nearly immaculate exterior, it did have some issues, a couple of spots of rust. We have currently come to a deal, £3000, no deposit involved as he is waiting for his new car to turn up before we do the deal.

First rust issue being the drivers side rear arch, the front side, small bubble around 15mm diameter, only affecting the small tapered area within the arch, nothing showing on the outside surface of the arch. The arch liner lug looked a bit bent out, so the liner wasn't fitting 100%, I assume this has allowed water behind it. The more research I am doing around this issue the more it is scaring me, with some posts on various forums suggesting that the rust behind this panel could be extensive.

The second rust issue is a around 4 or 5 small bubbles around 5mm diameter along the roof by the roof rail. I assume these will more likely be due to damage/scratches from loading a roof box on and off and the rust is likely to be surface only?

I am contemplating calling the seller and having a discussion which is likely going to have me walking away from the purchase. It is an absolute shame as it really is a beautifully maintained car, these rust spots excluded, but the deal we have come too is in my opinion near the top end for one of these and I don't really want to have to budget for £500-£1000 to repair the rust, which could be identical in 6months time on the passenger side.

Am I being over the top regarding the potential rust issues or are my concerns valid?

Do I need to move this thread elsewhere?
