Saab 99 LEA

Hi everyone, sorry I’m new to the website and to Saab’s in general, but I’ve recently inherited a Saab 99LEA from my Uncle. As much as I love the car, I’m looking to sell it but am not sure if it’s value. I’ve had it resprayed and it runs well, 86k miles from one owner, my uncle! I don’t even know where to start as can’t find anything on the usual websites that would give me an indication, but websites like this make me think this would probably go to someone who would care for it as much as he did.

Love to hear some responses, thanks for reading and look forward to hearing from anyone.

Welcome to UKS.

As with any classic car, values are determined by condition and desirability.

All 99's are starting to rise in value, with the Turbos and EMS models being the most desirable/sought after.

Prices are anything from £400- £1000 for non Turbo/EMS projects.
Runners to exceptional non Turbo/EMS models range from £1500 - £7000

For an average to good Turbo or EMS you will be looking at £10,000+
Asking prices for truly exceptional examples of these models will be and are around £20,000 + or - a few £k.

Again, condition is everything.

You would probably be better off putting an ad in the Classifieds section with a price that you think is about right...if no-one buys it, lower the price. If the car sells within minutes you might have been able to get a bit more but hey, you have got what you wanted!

A reminder, this is not a for sale ad.
The OP is looking for advice on what it’s worth.

If you have any advice on values please post for all to see rather than pm.

“pm sent” posts will be removed as per the rules posted in the sticky above.

That's quite a rare car, but maybe not that wanted.

From memory an early 2.0l model, basic 'L' spec
'E' for Electronic (bosch D jet) injection
'A' for Auto

Not many around at all.

Which is what I have, except it's a three door Combi so it has the EMS style interior. Were most 99LEA's four door cars?
