Seller recently posted in selling group on Facebook and linked to auction.
Claims a very low reserve.
I'm dubious.

It has surpassed the reserve. Currently at £3k.

At £3900 with 2 competing bidders. Ends Tuesday evening - how high will it go? I have a suspicion that Craig@f may end the highest bidder.

Thats really as far as it should go given its not complete per original spec.

Given the limitation of Bosch LH cars they are just not as desirable anymore. IMO anyway.

On past form I would not be surprised if there is some form of shill bidding going on.

Its certainly worth a lot less than what he was previously asking for it.

I suspect the seller may get his fingers burnt on this one, unless he withdraws it from sale because its not achieving what he wants.

I suspect there is a fee payable if he withdraws it though. I know fees are £500 or 5% whichever is the higher being charged by C&C for auction sales.

At £4900 with less than 24 hours left. My pick for the 'winner' craig@f is leading again. I'm not a betting man, but if I were, he would still be my pick!

Now at £6800 with 7hrs left. Same 2 bidders now incrementing by £300 to £400 with their leapfrogging bids. Guess going up by £100 each time wouldn't get them close to the hoped for £12K to £14K they are hoping to get!

Probably fake bidders.

Given i used to Prep Carlsson's, i dont get why people worship them.
Its just a bodykit, steering wheel, rear exhaust box, wheels, ecu and a fuel pressure regulator. And a ..... decal.
All things you can do to a regular 9000.

I suspect at least one of the current bidders is a shill bidder.

I've owned both C900 & 9000 Carlssons (this is from a man who owns a 99T with an Airflow kit  ), they do not do anything for me either.

Couldn't you say the same about an Aero though?

I like the CD Carlsson, because it's in the stiffer saloon body, something none of the other special models offer.
And I like the bodykit on the Carlsson because it's so different to the others. It's not subtle like the Aero kit. It's a very 80s look.

There is something that does not quite ring true with the bidding.

I've kept an eye on similar auctions in the past and apart from the initial sounding bids, it usually goes quiet until the last half hour or so of bidding.

The current two bidders have been going tit for tat for two days :corn:

Auction has been extended as the reserve has not yet been met.

So much for a low reserve.

Yes, saw "Reserve nearly met" at £9200. Another extension - is this because a bid is placed in last minute, triggering the extra time?

Neil

Just read the FAQs and that is indeed the case.

Finished at £9900 - reserve was not met! I backed the wrong horse (bidder) for highest bid, but may be immaterial. Can't help but think the seller won't let this go for less than £12K. As no sale, then no seller fee, so unless a deal is done, can we expect to see this advertised again soon?

It’s reached it’s level, that’s around about what the seller paid for it.

I strongly suspect there was some dodgy bidding going on to try and push bidders towards the reserve.

He is still desperately trying to wring a profit out of it.

Hes been posting every single day on the FB groups trying to big-up the auction.
Yes, it smells very bad....

I stand corrected, although no "reserve not met" tag showed when I logged in and went to the bidding page. It's a bit odd as it would usually show.

This car is just not worth what it bid to IMO.

I believe reserve not met only shows to those who have registered as a bidder, either for the auction in question or previous auctions.

I had registered for a previous auction, therefore could see the reserve had not been met.
