Very impressive build Mike, looks professional.

Your bonnet vents, did you go with rigid abs plastic vents made for the Focus or are they a universal fit?

Did you need two cans of VHT paint to do the cam cover?
Have always had good results with their paint, oven bake is best afterwards if the wife is out for the day, heat gun for application good tip to get rid of dampness, I always get spray can nice and warm as well before starting.

Thanks Aerohead..
These are actually the genuine ford vents, they have plastic shaped tabs that metal tabs clamp to hold in place on the underside..
I made a template 1st and spent a wee while cutting them out as precisely as possible..

I only used 1 can for the rocker mate, was plenty for about 5 coats I think, yeah I warmed up the parts, had the tins in house at room temp and well shook.. and kept shaking between coats.. couple thin covering coats to start with, then 3 or 4 heavy coats.. 1st time I've done it and was impressed..

Will add some pics.

With a new mot on Saabocus it was time to get out and get some running in miles on the clock, after a fresh hone and new rings etc fitted as wasn't 100% happy with it...
Need to get all 4 wheels aligned, all 4 corners weighed and set up, suspension fine tuned and ride height set.. then on the dyno for a proper map..
Brakes are nearly bed in..
No clutch slip even on short 2 bar bursts in 3rd 4th.....
Guess its pushing 480bhp
Could be going to new owner very soon now though.. maybe I can get 1 of my 96's finished and get my Quattro track car ready..

I have always said this is cracking looking and as usual with your projects done to a very high standard BUT with the bonnet up at side of the road looks like it has broken down
