Just a heads up to admin. I noticed that the url doesn't have the padlock and says "Not secure". This is showing on both the Saab-V4 site and the uksaabs site. I'm not getting this on other forum sites or any other sites that I have checked. Coincidence or they don't like Saabs?

The site is secure and we have an SSL certificate. I think (or so I have been told as I know nothing) that it is a settings thingy at our end and we will look into it when we get 5 minutes, but you are safe enough here! :D

You can use both http (not secure) or https (secure)

Guessing you've chosen the insecure route.

cert expires 21st March 2021.

I've been reviewing this tonight, and as wrighar says, you can access the forum via http// or https// (secure version).

I'd suggest you update any shortcuts/favourites to https//, as it doesn't update automatically.

UKS have had an SSL Certificate since around the beginning of 2019 from what I can see on my records.

Further to the above, I have noted the email notifications of topic updates contain a mixture of http// and https//. As such, I am looking into this further.

I will update as soon as possible.

When you type "www.uksaabs.co.uk" or any other address into the navigation bar, you are browsing to the non-secure (http://) address.
All those other sites, as is common practice, will redirect any http:// requests to https:// instead. However, someone had to configure them to do that. UK Saabs isn't currently configured to redirect so unless you include the "https://" in the web address you type, you will get the "insecure" warnings. I believe shalien is looking into configuring the redirect. Meanwhile, if you want to get round the warnings, explicitly type "https://www.uksaabs.co.uk" into your browser (and perhaps bookmark it).
As shalien says, having links to insecure addresses (http://) on a secure (https://) page will also pop up some minor warnings, which may not be displayed prominently but you might find a little red cross somewhere, depending on the browser you use. If it is possible to sort those links out then that will be even better.

All sorted now (I hope?).

All requests to view http://... should now be automatically redirected to https://...

If anyone notices anything contrary to this, please let us know.

Seems to work now, "Not secure" not showing any more.
Thanks Shalien.
