Car Models: 9-5 Aero HOT Turbo Edition
Unfortunately for sale.

Recently purchased from its owner of 27 years, was lain on driveway for 17
years due to personal issues and some intermittent issue with clutch. Dark
grey, full leather with some suede parts, AC, electric windows and sunroof
plus red box.

He bought the car as the second owner, and claimed to have it serviced at
Saab in Chigwell or Neo Brothers.

All keys present.

I have completed the following work to it:

10W40 engine oil (fogging oil first to turn engine)
GM filter
Sump washer
NGK spark plugs
PPS distributor cap and rotor arm
Lucas silicone ignition leads
Lucas ignition coil
PPS air filter
Stabilus rear hatch struts and new clevis pins
Exide premium battery
Hella front and rear wiper blades
PPS front headlamp washer blades
Turbo badge for front grille

Quinton Hazell coated front brake discs
TRW pads
Borg and Beck rear brake discs
Borg and Beck rear pads
Neo Brothers rear calipers

Spares that come with the car but not yet fitted:

PPS upper radiator hose
PPS lower radiator hose
OE expansion tank hose
New clips for the above
Lucas radiator fan switch
PPS ECU temperature sensor
PPS cluster temperature sensor
Bosal rear exhaust box with hangers and clamps
TRW front and rear brake hoses
Mannol AG12 pre-mixed coolant
New Saab badges front and rear (these will be fitted)
Gates AC belt
Gates alternator belts x 2
Gates PAS belt
PPS interior light switch
PPS fuel filter kit

With fresh V Power fuel, she started on literally half a crank. It ran and
stalled, but once fresh fuel filled with Redex got into her, she idled
perfectly, with the fan kicking in as expected!! Amazing engineering.

The body is in excellent condition; there are some marks on the front doors
which need some paint touch in (I'll get to it) but the car certainly
doesn't look bad for a 30 year old car. Whilst its up on axle stands, I
detailed the under-arches to find bits of surface rust but nothing more
than that. The floor also looks great with no welding.

I have all keys, and am awaiting the V5C which I've applied to the DVLA for
(the owner only had an October 1995 V5C which I sent off with a V62 form).
It has a few old receipts and MOT's, but remember the car has been sat
since 2004/2005. Any previous history has been lost by the long term owner.

I have kept all my receipts as I'm meticulous so at least its got good
provenance moving forward.

The boot lid has some rust on the inside and some minor bubbling under the
number plate.

Remember although it starts and runs, its a car that has sat unused for
well over a decade so may need more to get it working A1. I actually don't
think its far off an MOT once all these bits are fitted. Note that it will
require clutch and/or hydraulics to ensure the issue the previous owner
laid it up for is resolved. I spoke to Nelson at NDS and he suggested 4
hours labour to change the clutch, master and slave cylinders plus
hydraulic pipe.

I do not wish to sell, but something has arisen which means I really should
do.

I have been offered £3500 by my elder brother so it would have to more than
that to take it, hence the price of £4500 ono.

It can also be delivered if it helps and lots more pictures/detailed
discussions can be undertaken with the correct buyer.

Very rare car as you know, and potentially worth £10000 plus once ready.

Note that it is all complete, and there is no rust on the arches or the
doors.

P.s - Even the central locking worked once the battery was on!

Cheers all.
