Car Models: Current - VW Touareg Rline Tech - Prev- OG 9-3, 9-5 Edna
2006 9-5 Aero Estate - Manual - Stage 3 Noobtune - 95,000 miles

Putting my 9-5 up for sale. I’ve recently bought a caravan, need something bigger and have just bought a VW Toerag.

I bought the car in 2017 with just under 80k on the clock. It was previously owned by the father of one of the mechanics at SaabTech in Welwyn and had clearly been well maintained by them.

Drives and handles extremely well, very quick and will be sorely missed!

It’s had a lot of work done in my ownership, some by myself and anything beyond my capabilities by a Saab specialist and Master Tech.

Performance Modifications:

Stage 3 Noobtune - 2018
APH Performance (Albert) 3” Downpipe (200 cel CAT) - 2018
Bosch 3.5bar FPR - 2018
Kinugawa 6cm turbo exhaust housing - 2018
Kinugawa actuator - 2018
Jetex 2.5” CatBack - 2020
Abbott Racing Intercooler - 2019 - used part, pressure tested and flushed through
Bilsten B12 Pro Kit suspension - 6 months ago - including; Genuine Saab Top Mounts, top mount bearings, all components of front struts and rear dampers (mounts/bushes)
Powerflex rear trailing arm bushes - 2017
Powerflex front control arm bushes -2020
Powerflex front and rear ARB bushes - 2020
Powerflex front gearbox mount/torque bar - 2018
PFS poly subframe bushes - 2019
Maptun intercooler hoses and new stainless t-bolt clamps - 2020

Other modifications:

Refurbed ALU83 rims and new Genuine Saab centre badges/caps - 2020
Brink towbar - 2020
Genuine Saab 13pin trailer electrics with signal monitor with telltale, and auxiliary trailer power (power for caravan fridge) - 2020
Eonon Android 6 head unit, incartech loom, uses original shark fin aerial for GPS, original rear window aerial for AM/FM - 2018
White LED interior bulbs

Maintenance items:

Sachs clutch kit and genuine Saab slave cylinder - 2019
Air con hoses and receiver/dryer replaced - 2020
4 x CrossClimate+ tyres - 2019 (approx 5k miles on them)
Genuine Saab front drop links - 2020
2x OSRAM Night Breaker Laser Xenarc - 2018
4x Rear rose bushes - 2019
Genuine Saab MAF 2019
Meyle balljoints - 2019
Genuine Saab Exterior temp sensor - 2019
Bosch Aerotwin wipers 2019
Nearside differential oil seal - 2020
Bosch Lambda sensor - 2020
Various o-rings replaced following boost pressure test; Throttle body, cobra pipe, IAT sensor, vacuum hose push fittings -2020
Yuasa Silver battery - 2019
Genuine Saab fuel filter - 2019
Cabin filter - 2019
Valve cover gasket - 2018
Nearside engine mount - 2018
Genuine Saab Thermostat and GM coolant - 2020
Genuine Saab CPS - 2019
Front offside inner steering rod - 2020

Serviced annually, last done in June 2020. Plugs, oil/ oil filter, air filter, sump plug washer

Had new genuine Saab disks and pads when I bought it in September 2017 and there is still plenty of meet left on the pads.

Full-size spare wheel (ALU62) as well as the original space saver.
Cargo net
I have the original un-modified ECU, 3bar FPR and down pipe as well as a Maptun bypass valve - all included should you decide to take them.

Bad points:

Ignition switch has an intermittent issue. I have a replacement and will fit if I have time, otherwise it will be supplied with the car. Starts first time 95% of the time. Occasionally you need to hold the key in the start position for a few seconds before it will turn over. Been like this for 12 months or so and not got any worse.
Head unit facia could be a little tidier.
Rear bumper is a bit tatty. Otherwise it’s a very clean looking car.

With the 6cm turbo exhaust housing it holds boost higher in the rev range, with a very slight increase in lag.
It’s ready for stage 3+ and the 6cm exhaust housing should bring slightly more HP than the standard 5cm.

Will be available from the 27th November but I'm open to socially distanced viewings before then. Also happy to take any potential buyers out for a drive if we both wear masks.

More pics to come over the weekend!
