C900 SE 16v Full Pressure Turbo (175bhp) in Citrin Beige Metallic with Alpaca Beige Velour.
MOT until 03 Jan 2021.

Mileage currently showing 106,478

Image

Approximately 10 years ago a previous owner spent a lot of money having this car professionally converted from a standard 900i SE, into a Full Pressure Turbo, using the engine, engine loom, gearbox, suspension etc… from a rear ended T16S.

The car itself had 148k on the clock when converted.

Clocks were changed with the T16 to obtain the boost gauge and the clock was showing 101,250 miles at the time of the changeover.

Image

Here is a list of some of work done at the time of the conversion and since.

Turbo Engine, Gearbox (type 8 primaries) & APC from T16S, 9000 2.3 Flywheel & Clutch, T16 Suspension, New Rear Progressive MALBRAD Springs, Suspension Bushes, 9000 Front Discs & Calipers & Braided Brake Hoses.

PWR 5x6 charge cooler with Abbott charger cooler radiator, Bosch pump and an Allard alloy header tank.

After the conversion to T16 it had a new timing chain fitted at 103,300 miles in 2011 and a new head gasket at 104880 miles in 2012.

More recent work includes rear pads and a new rear caliper.

It has the usual SE Spec, leather steering wheel, leather gear knob, electric sunroof, PAS, rear spoiler, AC, electric windows, front spoiler, rear wash wipe, cross spoke alloy wheels and central locking.

The following need’s attention.

1.Rear wiper not working.

2.Central locking works when it feels like it.

3.AC not working.

On the previous listing the front electric windows were listed as not working. They are now fully working. The issue was the switch pack which has been swapped for a good spare I had.

Image

Drive wise, gearbox & clutch are excellent.

Engine runs to temperature but can sometimes be a little hesitant. I suspect it just needs a good service (new plugs? etc…) as its been mainly in storage for the past 4 years.

Cam cover gasket is weeping slightly.

Bodywork condition is good compared with many I have seen.

All C900’s have some rust but this one is not too bad at all.

Both rear doors have some corrosion on the underside.

The inner edge of the Bonnet is starting to show some signs of corrosion, with two very small bubbles showing on the outside. The filler flap also has a couple of very small bubbles.

The engine bay has spots of rust, but nothing that has caused any concern for the past MOTs.

The original SAAB windscreen has some chips on the passenger side, which have not been a problem with the MOT, but it would obviously benefit from a replacement screen.

Image

All bumper trims are present, and the wheel arch trims are almost as new.

All four cross spoke wheels are in reasonable good condition, they were refurbished approx. 8 years ago.

The 195/60 VR 15 Continental Tyres (on the rear) & Goodrich Tyres on the front , have loads of tread although there is some crazing starting to show on the sidewalls and between the treads on the Continentals.

Image

The interior is in excellent condition with no damage, nasty stains or wear.

The headlining has been replaced and is not sagging.

The dash has NO CRACKS!!

Image

There is no head unit fitted, all wiring to fit one is in place.

There are 2 original SAAB keys along with the original service book.

There is also an owner’s manual and a folder full of receipts & MOT certificates from before it was converted and since.

Image

It does need some recommissioning after not being used for a while, a good service should have running as it should be. It should take a lot of work to return it to being an excellent and quick example of a T16 FPT C900.

I have recently placed a deposit on a SAAB 99 Turbo which is due to be collected next week, so this now needs to go to make room for it.

Need this one gone to make room on the driveway.

Sold ''as is'', on its original Cross Spoke alloy wheels.

Final Reduction.

Now asking £2500 no offers.

But for £2500 I will include a new twin exhaust tailpipe and a nearly new Philips head unit.
