A thoroughly enjoyable and successful event - many thanks to all concerned with organising, setting-up, catering and running it - congratulations to the prizewinners, too. We had "fun" setting it all up (I'm part of SW Saab group for those who don't know) - I live just a few miles away so was "day-running" - and it all seemed to work out well. Thanks to everyone who came along with your lovely Saabs to make it such a great weekend.

Hi Chris

It's great, and right and proper, that you gave praise to the team as part of the SOC Executive Committee, but I'm surprised no SOC members have commented yet!

I also posted up on the Event Facebook page on Sunday evening following my arrival back home. However, to reiterate my comments I say again below.

Quote:
Arrived back in Hull around 30mins ago, with a non-stop 288 mile run. What a Great Weekend it was. Fantastic to catch-up with old friends, and as ever, make new great friends.
Big congratulations to the entire Event Team for putting on such a great event, and ordering the refreshing rain just in time to ensure our tents were wet when packed away  (wouldn't be right otherwise? :D )
I have to say, the food was brilliant all weekend, and last night's meal was absolutely spot-on. Well done to the Haselbury Mill staff for putting on such a great spread. The breakfasts were also very good, and enough to last out the day without feeling hungry until the evening
Well done to all. 10/10

Arrived back home in Fife, at 1800 hrs, today after a 1078 mile round trip, via Chester, Worcester and Kirby Stephen. 140 litres of fuel. Car never missed a beat

Excellent weekend, great to meet up with everybody, excellent organisation by the GWS folks, and super meal on Saturday night. The band were awesome :D

Thanks to all who contributed to make this a great weekend.

I don't think I'll make the Hatton Park meet in September, so see you all next year at the International. :D

Not yet home but ensconced in my place in France with very intermittent net access!

Great weekend, well organised and nice folk. My old 9-3 made it the 657 miles to Saabfest, but as my place in the Loir Valley was closer than home, decided to carry on over. It has now done 1095 miles since leaving home.

Congratulations to all the organisers for their efforts, I tried to thank as many as possible in person over the weekend. Looking forward to the next meet though not sure what that will be, depends on work really.
