Missed the pun earlier Derek, tres drole.

It's what happens when you have a fleet.
My fleet is only 3, and only one of them is a SAAB.

I know a bloke down in Somerset who has no less than 18 Saabs!!! (No names).

Numbers are shaping up nicely, and the Edinburgh crowd haven't chimed in yet, so I think we could be going for a bigger stand this year!
I've signed up for Inverness as well now on the 9th of May, but I'm going to have to give Alford, Bridge of Allan and Swedish Day a body swerve this year. (all the same weekend 9/10th May)

I was up at the Strathmore Arms, in Glamis, today to book the table for Friday and Saturday night.

It seems the hotel is closing at the end of February. The people who have been running it for the last 25 years, are leaving and the lease is reverting back to the Glamis estate, (Who own the hotel) and they plan to refurbish it and re-open on the 1st of July.
I have therefore booked a table for 4 on Friday 10th of July, and 14 on Saturday 11th of July, with Glamis Estate directly.
The numbers for Saturday night are obviously a bit "elastic", but we were 10 of 2 years ago, and I think 12 last year.
Leaves a bit of slack....

Andy

Nice one Andy, grazie mille.

I am torn but whatever happens, the Italian anthem will be getting the full beans on the volume control.

My very lucky sister and her husband have gone over to Rome for the match. Unfortunately they left me behind :?

Good effort on the Glamis meet. We may need a larger pitch at this rate.

Ciao.

We have an event in Fraserburgh on the Saturday, so will likely drop the caravan and my 93 off early Saturday morning, and then come back down on Saturday evening in time for dinner... I'm afraid we will be letting the side down in the DeLorean, if it's permitted on a Saab stand?

Stig.
It's a beauty, I saw it at Bury this year.
It came from the Sweden I think.

Doive.
I don't think anyone will object to a Delorean on the SAAB stand.
I'm hoping my wife will bring her Nissan Figaro along on the Sunday.

I'll need the reg number of the DeLorean for the entry form.
Just E mail it to me.
Andy

Close. GT850 came from New York. Saab Sports were marketed as GT850 in USA because of some trademark issue.

Looking forward to Glamis.

I could have sworn you told me that you bought it in Sweden.
I remember you telling that you couldn't find anywhere to spend the Swedish kroner cash that you'd brought
with you, because Sweden has gone almost cashless.

Good memory, Andy. That was a trip to Sweden to look at a white 1965 Sport but, as not convinced on provenance, I walked away (well I flew back actually! :D) That one actually went to an enthusiast in Australia.

You’ll see the New York licence discs still on the windscreen.

Ladies and Gents.

OK, I've been looking at the details of booking procedure for this years show.

Unlike previous years, where the desire to camp, was simply a tick in a box, on the entry form, this year everyone that
wants to camp, has to fill in a camping request form, and SIGN it.

This is because of the hassles in previous years with people running very LOUD discos until 3 or 4 in the morning.
Who could forget that from last year!
I'm glad they're doing something about it.

SO, I am going to E mail each person that has expressed a wish to camp, the camping request form, and you will have to fill it in, sign it, send it back to me, and I will send it in with the club stand entry form.

I should have everybody's E mail address, if I am missing any, I will post here.

The cost this year is £50 for a 10 car stand, and £5 per any extra cars above 10.
So if you're camping you will owe me £15, if you're not you will me £5.

Update...Star Date 2020

1/ Andy the Troll, Friday to Sunday. Camping. SAAB 96. Meal Friday and Saturday.
2/ Deggsie. SAAB 96. (or 900 Convertible?) No meals.
3/ Stig, Saturday/Sunday. Camping. SAAB 900 Meal on Saturday.
4/ Doive & Green Feet, Saturday/Sunday, Camping. DeLorean. Meal on Saturday.
5/ Mrs Troll (Nissan Figaro), Sunday only. No meals
6/ Dave Fisher. (Saturday/Sunday, no camping) SAAB 900i. No meals
7/Paul Redsaabs, Friday to Sunday camping. SAAB 900. Meal Friday and Saturday. Lamb both nights, no doubt!!!
8/Magrew. Saturday Sunday Camping. SAAB 9-5? Meal on Saturday.
9/ Crocs - Saturday/Sunday 96 GT 850. No camping. Meal on Saturday.
10/ Lucas & Louise - Sat/Sunday. 9-3 Convertible. Camping and meal on Sat night.
11/ Ian Grimble, Sunday Only. 1990 900S
12/Kraken, SAAB 99, Camping, Saturday and Sunday. Eating with us Saturday evening.
13/ John Neaves, SAAB 96, Sunday only
14/ Andy Wilson, SAAB 96, Sunday only.

So 9 cars on Saturday, and 14 on Sunday so far, possibly 1, to come, so could be a 15 car stand this year.

One QUESTION:- I still have all your street addresses from last year, if anyone has changed their street address in the last 12 months please E mail me. andydeans3, then Gmail.

We have 2 eating on Friday night, and around 11 eating on Saturday night, though this may become 13 if another couple I'm waiting on confirmation from, do come. Saturday night table is currently booked for 14.

I intend to put the entry in mid March, so I will need those camping forms back by then.
