A similar event to last year's Museum Muster at the Grampian Transport Museum, Alford (you may recognise one or two familiar SAABS in the photo on the web page) - see https://www.gtm.org.uk/events/anything-goes-muster/

The ‘MUSTER’ is a chance to dust off and show off your vintage, classic or modern vehicle while you visit the museum. We will park you up with ample spacing to reduce CV19 risks and perhaps to enjoy a picnic lunch !

See the GTM website for admission details and conditions - but it would be great if we can again ensure a strong SAAB presence.
NB tickets NOT YET available for this date.
If you're planning to come, please post your details and arrival time (can I suggest 11am and maybe foregather in the main village carpark ?).
Basically ... just book a normal museum visit online for yourself and your passengers, then attend at the museum arena gate at your chosen arrival time (from 10am to 3.30pm)
Please note ALL entries will have to be prebooked….no exceptions, as part of CV19 control measures ... no tickets sold on the day.

There will not be access for spectators and only people with valid pre-booked museum admission will be admitted.

I'll certainly be up for this. Always good to meet up, and it's a great run up over the Cairn o' Mounth.
The transport museum is also great.
I hope that my best mate, who recently acquired a 96, will also make the trip. I'll check with him, and update this posting.

Yeah, we should both be there.

It's now looking doubtful whether I make this - something unavoidable has come up on the Saturday evening.
I've booked a ticket for 11am in the hope that I may be able to make an early start on Sunday (in which case will bring the C900), but nothing certain until it happens (or doesn't) !
Any news from Stig or Graham B ?

My mate and I had a nice run up to Alford today, though having in the past seen the whole field full, with cars in the overflow filed, it was a wee bit disappointing today to only have about 30 or so cars in total.

There were 5 SAABs though, 3 of 96s, 1 99 Turbo, and a 900.
Photos below.
Also, always good to see some of the North East gang, namely Ian Law senior, and Jim Martin.
Not sure why the event was so poorly attended. Weather was fine, no rain, not really cold for October.

Thanks for the terrific photos, Andy - really sorry that I wasn't able to make it this time (and a great shame that numbers were down so significantly). But good to see that SAAB was so well represented with a high proportion of the total !

Anyone up for a lunch-time gathering before the weather turns ?

Aye, we missed you Derek.

Yep. lunch meet would be great, where and when?

When for us is quite easy, with exception of this Friday 15th /Saturday 16th, any time.

Probably better during the week, when places are quieter, and we can all sit together in whatever coffee shop we meet at.
Where....The place outside Grantown gets my vote, though I doubt that we could sit outside again!!!!

Andy, Jim
Grantown would be fine for me (and good food too).
A bit busy the next couple of weeks, how about first or second week of November ? Any preference for day/date ?
Derek
