Car Models: NG 9-5
Hi, just wondering if anyone knows if all of the new generation 9-5's had wiring for and the DAB aerial installed as standard? It seems like a lot of the comparable GM stuff does. If it's there I'd like to either retrofit a dab module or use an after market kit, have found the stick on aerials a bit lacking in the past.

My old 2010 ng 9-5,didn't have DAB radio,but it had sat nav,does yours?
I expect the shark fin is used for the sat nav and dab reception.

I found the dab in my old mondeo was excellent,until you went up hill or down,then it seemed to return itself lots
Maybe derbyshire isn't the best reception area but I found it was good and bad in equal measure.

It's the standard green screen head unit, no DAB, but I know DAB was an option on 2010 cars and standard on 2011 models, so wondering if the aerial's there, it was in other GM cars like the Astra J

Looks like the DAB module is this part:

So, if it's possible to fit that into an Astra or Insignia, I can't see why the 9-5 wouldn't be the same... As long as the aerial's there.

According to the parts list, the DAB aerial in the NG9-5 is not in the sharkfin. It's near the LHS of the rear windscreen. GPS is in the sharkfin, and like the earlier cars there are shark fina aerials with and without the GPS. Although Item 6 seems to be an alternative position for a GPS aerial.
