Hi all

New to Saab ownership and almost enjoying it!

I have made the mistake to start upgrading a few bits on my 2008 9-3.

I have spent countles hours researching and reading and I am no further forward in regards to the wiring for a headunit replacement. Every single 'guide' I've read/watched online has been totally different to the other and generally is 30 minutes of talking about removing the top vent, then 6 seconds of talking about wiring with no definitive details.

I need someone to hopefully help me with what harness/loom I need and how to wire it

So far I have all the fasica/cage bits etc ready to go and a Sony AX3005DB. I bought a Connects2 CT20SA04 as I have the OEM amp, but I think is incorrect as it only has one ISO connector?

I'm not bothered about the steering wheel buttons working as I refuse to pay the £80 asking price for the harness to do that.

So, did anyone respond to your question about installing new radio into your 9-3?

I have fitted radios into all kinds of cars and vans over the years but NEVER seen anything like this - I have a 2007 9-3 convertible which came with a 2 DIN satellite head unit - delighted to find someone in the same situation.

If theres any wisdom you can share id be much appreciated

That harness won't work. It will cause bad interference that you won't be able to dissipate, even with ground loop isolators. The harness without the RCAs is much better, and to be honest, you can get harnesses with the steering wheel canbus decoder for less than £80.
