Im sure you'll have fun, but the tracks probably not best suited to warp speed wardrobes.

Never done Blyton so decided to strike it off my to do list, plus give some funds to charity. Weather was nice and hot, friendly crowd. Didn't get a chance to fully learn the circuit as something let go in the transmission. Oh, the tow of shame...

I built the box in 2011 and its done 11 trackdays and 28000 miles running lots of hp and buckets full of torques so overall I'm pleased it lasted so long. It'll be a few weeks before I get round to finding the cause of the failure but the next box will be going down the same road of upgrades carried out when it was built. From the abuse this box has had over the years I reckon if it only had road use then it probably 'Would be the best gearbox in the world'!!

That's good going for the gearbox Mark.. have you changed the oil every now and then in it..
Might be the clutch.. would rather it was i guess..
Too many bends and chicanes on that track for the big saab eh.. that part you came to a stop at would be great if they never chucked in another chicane... big long straight to stretch its legs...
Hi Sandra..

Sorry to hear of the woe's but it's probably the one of the longest lasting big power standard gearboxes so, as you say, just build another one.
Reckon some investment in better pullers would make life a bit easier ( certainly that was cause for most of the stress in my build)

What about a bit of extra cooling? Would be great if it was just the clutch.

I am changing my oil with Millers NT every couple of track days - but there is definitely wear going on in there...

You might notice a lack of 6th gear and gear noise when it's returned! ;-)
