I did look at your photo and wonder if you were just missing the shelf insert? Suckerrrrrrr!!

If you'd sold me the ashtray, the shelf would've cost you an equal amount  :argh:

Fair enuff!

Did you replace the dud lamp yet Andy? You should be able to turn the lamp around to get it to light. Unless...

I'll swap you a known good one for the upper shelf.

Bits used,

Pioneer DMH-A340 DAB

Incartec SAAB 29-UC050 Unican SWI c/w the Pioneer patch lead. There are three other patch leads, depending on your new radio brand.

Incartec SAAB 9-5 1DIN/2DIN surround.

Tricks? You have to press the SWI interface box with your wheel switches to "tune in" to the Pioneer kit.

The light on the interface isn't the brightest, best to do this in shade.

Tips? Would I fit another? NOT this month. I am happy! For once!!

:D

What a week. Failed MOT on Tuesday. Garage agreed to get the repair bits needed. Booked in for Friday. They sent me a message to attend, I did.

Only thing is, garage didn't heve the bits. Went back this morning on the offchance...

Bits are there, they just can't get the old bits off. QUALITY!! NOT!! Phone calls and driving round later (plus a hit in the wallet)

went back to MOT place, had some grub and a bit later...

MOT PASSED!

Phew...

Being as I had so much fun on Sunday, I took the armrest off and the 60% base off today and hit them with the hose pipe.

Armrest was medium grotty. Seat base was well grotty!!

It isn't now though...

Partially stripped to aid hoovering and drying!!

You ncan still see some minor stains on the foam. This was miles worse before....

I am so impressed, I might as well treat the 40% base the same way....

Being as the back end of the bases were so grotty, I am thinking of doing the back rests as well.

More sunny days needed!! :D

Looked at WIS. Rear seat headrest covers can be removed and put in the washing machine. IF i have space!

If not, I will go "Hosepipe" again! This way is therapeutic. I got soaked doing this today. I did enjoy mesen though!

Then, I will tackle the front seats. Might go full upholstery strip then....

I chickened out using the hosepipe on the backrests. Too much work dismantling them. I just sprayed soapy water on, stirred it up with a brush and hoovered them off.

They are miles better now. Thanks again Hal!

it was hard work. it was worth it! :D

Just got to do the front seats now.....

:park: :park:
