Hello,
Very pleased to join a bunch of enthusiasts on-line. I'm returning to SAAB ownership after a gap of 30 years. My first SAAB was a 96 deluxe from 1967 bought in '74 for £450. Had another 7 including 2 x 96; 3 x 99s; 1 x 900 and a 9000 CDE.

My latest is a 1975 96 which had been off the road, stored in a lock up in London since 1992. It was given a bare metal respray and major recommisioning by Lasswade enthusiast Steve Webster. I am now enjoying completing the shake down with the help of 'The Troll', (Andy Deans) and look forward to meeting up with local enthusiasts in the East of Scotland and further afield once Queen Nic releases us from lockdown.

Welcome to UKS Colin, great to have another 'local' member - we are based in Fife, and have a small collection of older Saabs, including a 1973 95 V4. Mr Deans is a helpful soul, a very useful chap to have around & very knowledgeable.

Welcome neebs!
This is my mate Colin. We met at school age 14. Sometime around 1971 he came home with this bizarre (to most people) "Cheese grater" 1967 SAAB 96.(Registered TRA 400F).
I had a 1963 MG 1100 at the time, but I was SAAB smitten, soon got rid of the 1100, and followed my mate and I bought a 1969 SAAB 96. (LXA 890G). The mould was set for the future.

Andy
