Can anyone recommend a decent retouching paint for standard alloys, please?
Managed to scuff one on the wagon and would like to at least give it a protective coat.

Well it depends what the colour is. You can go to halfords and get a silver touch up stick.
Or you can go to your local paint shop and get one mixed up which will probably work out better.

I didn't realise that the factory alloys actually came in different shades!

Alloy wheels can be all sorts of different colours.
I'm sure there are various colours for Saab wheels.

I have found Simoniz silver wheel paint to be somewhere near a match

Ford Moondust silver is very versatile for wheels.

^^ What he said. This is what I have always used for wheel refurbishment.
