Copied and pasted from my thread on “Your Cars” C900 the White wolf.

After welding in 2 repair patches I had a poke about with a big screwdriver and discovered some corrosion on the forward edge of the base Of the suspension tower. It’s going to be challenging because it’s so difficult to access.
I need to remove the lower wishbone mounting plate In order to do give me decent access. Do the bolts come out of the plate, I’m sure after 30+ years they won’t want to move. I’m sure that somebody has tackled this area successfully before.
The only other option I’ve got is to Strip the paint and weld it from inside the tower itself. The immediate areas are solid, so if I can get in there it’s doable. Any tips from anybody will be gratefully received.
I don’t really want to remove the chassis leg if I can help it.

Does anyone have a structural drawing of that area please.

Thanks.
