I picked up my new (to me) car on Saturday, it is 3 years old and the previous owner has not removed the blue plastic film from the sill protectors in the boot.

When it’s new this film just peels off easily but this has now gone hard and just comes off in little bits.

Has anyone found a way to remove this stuff, possibly heat from a hair dryer?
