Good afternoon all
I had a hood repair a few months ago, electrical issues, which was fixed, However, I am now getting a message about manual operation only and please secure hood securely before moving off? However, I can cancel/ignore the messages and carry on. Having checked around, the only problem I can see and this is recent, is that when closing and the rear of the hood hood drops down on the final operation, I notice the near side closes spot on and and seals but the offside of the hood does not. There appears to be a gap between the hood and the metal surface of the lower metal cover. This gap allows me to see light from inside the car looking back at the hood and is probably the width of my little finger, which is quite a gap, letting in water no doubt. I have only just noticed this. The hood has never jammed, but clearly it is out of alignment for some reason. Perhaps something is stopping it locating on one side? I get my wife to operate the hood switch and I watchEd the hood dropping down to its final location and cannot hear anything untoward but clearly it is not right. It even looks to be lowering evenly but then, when the operation is being completed the hood is only correctly sealed on the nearside with the offside being raised at the corner? Would really appreciate any help with this If someone has perhaps had the same problem. Maybe an adjustment?
Many thanks
