As long as the lockdown lifting of restrictions dates do not move right, it is intended to hold a ''Back to the Limes'' meet on the first Sunday following the 17th May.
17th of May is currently the date at which it will be possible to allow gatherings of up to 30 people outdoors.

I'm not sure yet if the cafe will be open for serving indoors, but it will be operating a takeaway service if not.

23 May is out of sync with our usual first Sunday of the month, but it will good to get out and meet fellow enthusiasts again.

Date Sunday 23 May

Start time 10:00 until 13:00 or later.

Venue - The Limes Cafe, Old Rufford Road, Bilsthorpe, Newark, Nottinghamshire, NG22 8TH.

The Limes has a very large Car Park and there are no time limitations or fees for parking.

The breakfasts served are well recommended and reasonably priced, or if you want a spot of lunch the lunchtime carvery is also recommended & again reasonably priced.

The meets are a chance for a get together to talk and look at SAABs plus anything else that takes your fancy.

Thereafter we will drop back into the usual first Sunday of the month subject to clashes with national events.

Which means the next meet following the 23 May will be Sunday 6 June.

Its a while yet but at least there is a light at the end of the tunnel, just as long as there are no hiccups with the roadmap.

Where exactly is "The Limes"??
I feel a road trip coming on!!
(If Queen Nicola the 1st allows me to cross the border......!! :D )

Update - OK, I see now it's near Newark.
Let's wait and see what Sturgeon does and does not let us do up here.

Andy, you'll be more than welcome.

Just be aware its just a small local meet at a Transport Cafe.

Plenty to do around and about if you were looking to make a weekend of it though.

There's a good air museum at Newark, but that may not suit your other half :)
Both Lincoln and Cambridge have a lot going for them.

Lincoln is worth a visit, Cathedral obviously, Lincoln Castle and the Museum of Lincolnshire Life all within a short walk of each other.
