Providing it goes to plan, experts predict 85% of vulnerable people will be vaccinated by Spring. On that basis, I can't see the show happening. It might be possible to have a summer date I suppose. Personally, I think that the only NEC classic show I go to next year will be the big one in November!

Apparently now scheduled for the 11th-13th June. With a fair wind, we might make this one!

Indeed! In the new year I will start to look at exhibitors, hopefully all those who said yes for 2020 can make it and make life easy. :D

Hopefully I'll still be able to attend, although work tends to be busy most June weekends.

I'll certainly hope to be there with the car, as planned.
Only provisio would be that mask wearing has gone by then. Hopefully with a vaccine "round the corner", mask wearing WILL be gone.
I don't think I could do 3 days on the stand, wearing a mask!

I've cancelled my hotels for March, and re-booked for June. Cost me £50 more for the 3 nights Thursday to Sunday!!!

I can say that a lot of the Premier Inns in and around Birmingham are already sold out. There must be something else big on, in Birmingham that weekend.

I'm still up for this. I'm sure my company won't be, given the Le Mans Classic is so soon after?

Obviously Nick, my car is still available, if needed as a stand in.

As for accommodation, I still have my voucher for Travelodge from the cancellation of this year's event, so will hopefully get a room (if Birmingham AP Travelodge is still a thing then?)?

My GL has since gone, but I do have a 99T instead :D

As per Andy, I still have an accommodation credit with Travelodge that needs to be used by the end of next year.

Shame that the new date clashes with our [planned] "Italian Job - the Saab Way" trip. Hey-ho!

Quite a few Scottish Classic shows in May and June have already been cancelled, (Moffat, Thirlestane, Crathes(Banchory)). Also Rostrevor in County Down.
I, unfortunately, can't see the Resto show going ahead in mid June........... :(

I suspect your right Andy.

I do not foresee any major shows until the start of next year.

I’m still hoping we might get some smaller meets this year. Outdoor activities seem less risky than the big indoor events. Fingers crossed :D

Given the latest "Path to ending Lockdown Restrictions", and the end of "Social Contact" being lifted completely by 21st June, I guess that pretty much means this is off for this year now? Especially as the proviso is the rates continue to fall whilst each step is taken.

Yes, I agree. I can't see this happening this year unfortunately.

Oh well, just have to look forward to the main show in November..... :D
(though to be honest the NEC site still says it's on, but I suspect that will change in the coming weeks)

Cancelled until March next year. Probably makes sense to be honest. Hopefully it will go ahead and the invitation to display will still be offered to those of us who volunteered for the ordinal show last March.

I have just had official notification of cancellation for this year, as expected. The next one is 18-20 March 2022 and the plan is to offer spaces to those who had previously agreed to exhibit if they are still willing.

Yeah, I just got the E mail.
I'll be up for March 22.
I'll be booking my hotel as soon as we get to the end of this month. Can't book more than a year ahead.
Let's look forward to the main show in November.
With a bit of luck it might go ahead without restrictions.

Andy
