Car Models: 1992 SAAB C900S three door. 2003 MINI ONE.
First episode on Channel 5 last night 'The Drowning' continues tonight.
Very nice looking two door C900 in red, featured heavily as it's driven by the main character in the story.
It's wearing the reg number E909 KUC, but this doesn't appear to exist on the DVLA checker, so maybe a made up reg?
In any case, it looks very tidy, side decal stripes, so possibly a special edition?
I wondered if it belongs to anyone on here?
It rather distracted me from the plot, just waiting to catch sight of it :D

Yes - saw that last night - lovely looking car and some nice dashboard shots.

I thought it might have been an F Reg?

Anywho - very nice to see - although I did have to chuckle as the 'sterotype' SAAB driver, a Landscape Gardner, rather than an Architect; but hey, pretty close right?

It looks a nice car, some of the shots of it sat in traffic or outside the school highlighted how big modern cars have got, the Saab looks very narrow and small by comparison to almost everything. I don’t think the car is a great choice for the character though, it looks too racy with the stripes and the blingy alloys that jump out too much, I think a 3/4/5 door with steel wheels in a darker colour would of been a bit more subtle whilst still distinctive. Also a massive script error when she told her colleague the “fib” that her car had broken down? No saab owner would say that.

Pegwort.
You may well be correct about the reg, my eyesight's not what it was
After a bit more digging (it's a lockdown thing!) it appears that the programme was recorded in Ireland.
Their registration system I would presume to be entirely seperate to ours.

Proudy.
Yes, the fib about the car breaking down did rankle a bit.
Agreed too about the size of modern cars, the C900 looks almost petite compared to the lardy offerings of today.

Looking forward to tonights episode, whilst hoping the car doesn't come to grief for the sake of the story line.

Stephen.

NSF wheel arch has some nasty bubbling though.

She needs to get that looked at.

That will be this one then.

Photo poached off Faceache.

Ignoring the reg number as it may not be the correct one.

Its wearing 9000 Anni wheels, so either a flat front with later hubs or a slope front with a flat front conversion.

I suspect the latter as I'm sure this car was offered for sale sometime back and it was a slope front with flat front conversion.

Badge under the 900i is a ''16valve'' badge so its been converted to flat front.

Its definitely the one that was in the eBay add as I can recall the body stripes.

I was wrong with the reg!

Incredible detective work BTW - and wouldn't say 'breakdown'? - maybe a 'failure to proceed' then He He!!

Yep, that's it.

Was advertised for quite a while with the one seller.

It was up for sale a good few months prior to that with a different seller.

Crikey, you'll not be seeing many C900's for £50 these days!

The bodyshop that bought the car changed the wheels: I preferred the 3 spokes:

I know Mal, but I regard the Anni's as 'poor mans Ronals'.
And my wife tells me that they're just as good, without me spending any more money!
