Not been on this forum for a while as I sold my Saab 9-5 aero over a year ago.

Spotted this really good looking Saab this morning in Tesco, Wrexham.

It looked to be in overall fantastic condition and looks to be a credit to it's owner (is the owner on here)

Interesting reg plate to if you look after animals.

She's one of ours.
My partner & son were in her this morning.

She is lovely, which is why we bought her last autumn from a chap in Lincolnshire; really, the credit for her excellent condition is due to him. He's a Saabnut too but doesn't, I believe, frequent here.
We try to keep her clean (not easy at this time of year), hence last night's post in the Spit & Polish Room about removing oxidation from the wheels. http://www.uksaabs.co.uk/UKS/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=193580
We're also keeping an eye on the mechanicals and have already had some electrics sorted, changed the headlights and tailgate struts and got the non-functioning headlamp wash/wipe working again.

Glad you appreciated her; if you see us again come and say, "Hello".

Thankyou McVities.

I love my 9000s, as you know, but a good C900 is a proper Saab for me too.

Do Saab owners wave to each other?

I was waved at earlier by somebody in a 9-3 earlier and I can only assume it was on the grounds that we happened to be both driving a Saab.

It happens, usually more so in the classics.

Parked up next to a Dutch 2008 93 1.8T convertible in Lyme Regis on 28/12.
Owner returned, I greeted him, only to realise he knew nothing of the car and wasn't in the least bit interested - even though it had a Hirsch emblem on the boot.

Filthy, cluttered with crisp packets, sweet wrappers and discarded fast food packaging inside and utterly filty on the outside (the car). A sad sight.

Unusual for the dutch - they were into Saabs in fairly big way, NL was a major market after US, Sweden, UK, Germany.
Not unusual at all; I guess 60% of all post-classic Saab sales were lease vehicles, sold on as cheap bangers when the lease expired. For many people it's just another car, and why not...

Having lived in NL, I would have been surprised if a 9-3 vert would've been on an approved list of lease vehicles, certainly not in the company I worked for. Had I been eligible I would've been offered something like a Pug 308 or Octavia - my boss accused me once of just wanting promotion for a car, only to be told his car was a lease Peugeot and my car was my owned 9-3SS Aero, and why would I want a Peugeot??

I suppose verts would have been in the 40% bracket.

Lots of "choser-user" agreements here, in my previous job it was carte-blanche within the agreed price-band so it wouldn't be unlikely in the UK.

Just the tax can become astronomical.

The 308 wasn't that dreadful.

Silver 9-3 Vector A1 VTM (or TVM). Jealott's Hill, Brackhell, Maidendead-bound.

VE60 Aero TTiD in silver on the M3 this morning, seniorish driver.

No wave attempted on my part - wrong car!

Yes I do, I'm in Hampshire, & I wave to others who normally give me a puzzled look. It could have been me!
