Well after considering a VW T4 or T5 we went and hired a conversion and hated it so have instead gone for a RWD petrol & LPG Mazda Bongo Friendee. I remember reading an article in CAR magazine many years ago where the author was commenting on awesome Japanese market names and the Cedric and Bongo Friendee were two that stuck in my mind all these years.

It will not be fast and I know I am going to miss the Saab and it wouldn't surprise me if I end up back in one in the future but it will be getting a clean and put up for sale.

It has 18" wheels which will be the biggest on any car I have bought and it may well be one of the slowest as well. Looking forward to wild "camping" with it. :)

bongos are good little things i dont get why vw campers are so popular
i had a 3.2 32 valve v6 granvia great thing she could move was always overtaking campers uphill
but boy it sucked the juice down if you used the engine properly
a guy parks a cedric in my road sometimes its lowered and sounds well meaty
its a y31 it reminded me of my renault 21 turbo square and ugly

My parents owned one a few years back and went across France in it to Spain.
Was very thirsty, 2.5TD I think.
Some of them do suffer with rust problems.
Their one had the opening roof and you could sleep up there.

Said they would look.

Nissan Serena (body shaped like a potato), garish disco paint and one of the first gt2860 turbos released into the wild. It was how the turbo got the nickname.
