new speakers are a must on an old car things have come along way since 1990 ish
snow informer that takes me back eh leaky boom boom down i worked in a chippy to buy me first car the nn english lads loved that tune
just make sure you get the same size speakers and if there run off the headunit your lucky to get 20 watts of power
so no amp added you wont need big flash ones
i dunno what size c900 have
ive put infinity speakers in loads of cars all good never killed a pair

if c900s take 4 inch speakers
i would be getting these ones https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Clarion-SRQ1 ... SwvNVcUb90

put 3 pairs of these in me mums car sound good and so cheap now https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Alpine-SXE-1 ... rk:15:pf:0

I also get a rattle especially on first start and I've finally found that clamped to the manifold downpipe is a cage to hold a metal air pipe for the cold start up.
The cage on mine rattles for a brief period until heat makes the exhaust expand and tighten up against the cage.
My current 900 does this and so did my last one. I'm learning to ignore it !

Are the speakers wired the right way round and -ve on the car goes to -ve on the speaker etc.

Jon
