We could have never done the work on out house and kitted it out the way we wanted to without credit cards/HP. But our debt is manageabe, we know what we have spent, we know when the cards need paying off by to avoid interest and as a result we have a lot of nice stuff that we would still be saving up for at least another 3 years for.

You had more to show for your brick outhouse than a kid that got a new pair of jeans sun glasses and trainers because a rapper told him he would look very cool if he paid 5 grand for his outfit and he put it on his credit card :D :D

Just looked at the other cc bill. It's getting on for £500. Considering that I only use this card for 9-5 peanuts, I'm guessing that I have bought a lot of 9-5 bits recently.

It was probably the SIG number plate, insurance and something else, the kitchen comes to mind here!. SIG's road tax is paid.

Both cars got bought via me bank account.

£400 odd isn't bad. I found an old bill for £26-- from August last year. I have managed to pay off over two and a half grand in just over a year!

:D

I might have added to the 2.6K since 2017, dunno! Tis paid!

Even betterer! :D :D

DONE!

I did have to pay an extra £3 odd rolling interest since it has been adding up even after they printed the bill.

Well done Si......

Any chance of a sub?

:D Nice try Phil! I got no money left! Paid all the bills.

I don't think that I can shift the other £400 odd next week. That will just have to reduce a bit.

You got more money than me. Why are you after a sub?

Do ovlov make a sub?...............

Hmm.

It just gets worse doesn't it. I got home tonight to be greeted with a letter asking for 14p.

This is despite me paying up the sum they quoted on the spot to clear this blooming card.

How can they justify the 14p? How can they justify sending me a letter in the post?? It would have cost more for the stamp...

IF they keep going on like this, I will NEVER be able to pay the card off as as soon as I clear it, they magic another fee!!

I might pay them 28p tomorrow and see what happens then......

Do them a bank transfer for £1, wait a couple of days then ask them to repay the balance in the form of a cheque.

Must have been right on the bill date, as usually when you phone up and ask for how much to clear the account - £xxxxxx, would you like to pay it now
Then you get a letter sometimes inthe post saying your balance is nil

Paid them 50p today.

I checked at the counter, I only owed them 14p today.

I will expect another bill next month.....

Good on you si, one less thing to worry about

The 1st of December my mortgage debt will be cleared and it will be a weight off my shoulders.

I’m pretty much a recluse , don’t drink or smoke and have no expensive possessions.
The worry of living alone with no job security was so much I paid as much off as I physically could from day one.
