Alright folks!

Recently just signed up as I’ve got my first saab and no doubt I’ll have a few questions to ask regarding the car and hopefully be able to get a few tasty bits for it. Recently bought the car off a close friend and love it already. Needs a few bits and bobs but for the price I couldn’t really say no. 03 95 2.3T with 72k on it. Very clean body and very comfortable to drive. Light map on it bringing it just short of 280bhp, so a nice bit of power to pull me up the hill lol.

Not sure what to do with it now. Wether it’s worth fixing or not. Not sure how Much it will cost to build the engine back up again.

Whereabouts are you? Someone near you may be able to give a second opinion, or recommend a local specialist.

I’m in belfast. There’s a fella steven Smyth who people would recommend. He’s about 15-20 mins from me I’ve a mechanic friend who can take the head off and have a look to see what’s the damage done. Hearts broke.

Looks too good to give up on.
Might be cheaper to do an engine swap, maybe?

Would give you time to fix the original.
