I had an interesting few minutes on Google before posting that. Apparently quite a lot of phrases that I know are specifically Essex things and I had no clue.

Apparently bombing around the circuit on a Friday night is a particularly Essex way of saying driving quickly around a circular route in town (usually with music pounding from a sub). I thought everyone used "bombing it", I suspect that most people know that one .

A particularly nasty one that I remember from school was calling a girl "butterface". Beth looked at me blankly just now with that one (I wasn't saying it at her BTW!)

I was in our Brentwood office all Friday, and all i could hear every 5mins was "Thats going in my Basket".
Eh ?, why are they all carrying baskets ?.
