Hi Dave, any chance of some updates on the car.

A ''Project Revisited'' if you like, I'm sure many would be interested.

Its pretty much the same, maybe a few more spirited miles on it.
I am however trying to move on to the next upgrade, I have found a complete 2500cc bottom end, it's currently still in Sweden and plans are being put in place to get it over here.
The cylinder head may or may not be an 8v with 46mm inlet valves and a slightly wilder cam, to get over 200bhp and still be user friendly or the 16v with larger inlets and cams, not sure if the gains will be enough to make a big difference compared to the 8v and the extra expense.

The ITG filter bar I was never happy with, it needed to be fitted upside down, so the fastening lugs didn't touch the bonnet, so I have incorporated the help of a very good friend, he is very good at aluminium fabrication and welding. A bespoke filter housing is being made and this will allow for easier removal for oil filter changes and it will look much better.

The new filter housing should be ready soon for a trial fit...

Ive also bought another TME, this time black, one of 244, I've done a few subtle mods to it, it still looks standard, flowed head, true 3'' C-tec exhaust/Russ Fellowes back section and Ohlins suspension which is incredible and a remap.
380bhp/380 ft/lbs it goes quite well  standard TME turbo and air filter, standard cams.

Sometimes we have our own car show in work :)

This photo was taken recently.

The seats are also being swapped out for a low milage 9000 anniversary set, in dark grey, the rear seats are being transferred over to a 900 base and I need to sort some seat adapter rails for the fronts. The door cards from a 99 turbo will be used after they have been painted grey and the interior handles have been changed.

Very nice, I'd be interested in one of those if he was willing to make another.

That caught my attention!
90mm crank with 3 mm overbore?
Should make for some nice torque gains.......

2.1 block, 94mm forged Mahle pistons and standard rods machined to fit, I have some forged rods that will be getting used instead. All machining carried out so it will clear the gearbox.

The interior is also getting a refresh.
Leather seats from a low mileage 9000 anniversary. The rears are much wider on the 9000, so about 2" was removed from the centre panel on the base, the wings also had some material removed.
Correct year bases were used and everything was swapped over, so all of the original catches and fittings are retained.

Just need to make some adapter brackets for the front seats and then dye the 99 turbo carpets and door cards.

That looks *very* nice. I've been pondering about the seats in Roobarb (99MY73) as the original seats didn't inspire much confidence the first couple of times I drove it. I had visions of the back tilting backwards into a sleeping position. Having seen these I am definitely going to try the front seats from a 9000 (I have a spare interior)
