8300rpm, that's good going.
My Avenger revs/pulls to 8000, which for an old pushrod lump is quite good, but you know when you're doing it though.
Good fun though and surprises lots of people.
Gotta love a sleeper.

For £270 you think it would !

For £270 I would want it to have a cuppa ready for me when I pulled over for a quick sarnie

Decisions, decisions.....

Original Saab OEM bushes, poly black bushes, special nylon ?

I suppose given the age of these cars it's good to have choices.

With the bigger wheels and tyres loading up the steering and suspension you probably need stiffer bushes to keep things lined up.

I have to agree, I put the poly black bushes in.

Got a bit more done today, SPA tach fitted and wired up, doesn't look too bad, at least I'll know what rpm's I'm doing. Routed the wiring for the SPA oil/pressure gauge, this is going in a 99 boost/economy dash pod, this is not straightforward, I had to remove the terminals from the wiring loom to get them through the bulkhead, dashpad and pod.

Almost MOT time, I haven't done much mileage since the last MOT.

A few new additions;

16'' wheels/tyres.
NOS 99 front spoiler.
SPA tach.
SPA oil pressure/temp gauge.

That's only the second 99 I have seen with that front spoiler, Dave. The first was mine and, 25 years on, the spoiler is still hanging up in my garage

The only pic I have of that car happens to include the first Mrs Fliptop, but never mind, the car was great

I took this at the car and coffee meet in Liverpool yesterday, its first proper outing since the new wheels and tyres/spoiler/gauges. I also had a few moments to redline it.

What's happened Dave?
Pictures on Facebook of the 99 being recovered.
Hope all's ok.

Failed Ford crank sensor, it would run fine for about 5 mins then misfire and just cut-out, probably could have made it home, only about 5 miles from home, but decided to use the AA. First time its let me down :(

Glad it's nothing serious and an easy fix.
