Having seen this one I can say its a tidy example, as the seller states not perfect but very tidy.

Shiny above, I'd want to see it up on a ramp.

Not a CD though. Just a slope front CC.

Tell you what I noticed and made me smile (not many things make me smile). is the sticker just behind the mirror. 'Saab Made in Sweden' we had those on my Dad's cars from the 99 to the 9000 (some were 'Made in Finland') but does anyone know if these stickers are available at all?

What do you mean "just a.." :loco:

I would love to have a 9000 CC Carlsson. I love the look of the CC Slope front. If only I had the space, and a bit of money to indulge.

I agree that the slope front is better than the flat front, but the CD has the better chassis and is rarer.

If the right CD came along I'd seriously consider chopping in the TX for it.

It's my absolute favourite Saab shape. Like you, if only I had space and money...

The slope front CC was only for 1991 in the UK - strange they only sold it for 1 year (although it was available unti 1994 I believe in some markets)...

My Dad's E reg CC had a slope front retrofitted at some point before he bought it. Much better looking IMO.

NG900, description does not match the photo and the seller is being extremely optimistic with the insurance valuation.

Info from the seller. I can put you (or anyone genuinely interested) in touch with the owner.

I bought the sonett in 2007 after reading the first part of a two part article in the "Driver".
Flew over to UK, bought the car and drove it back to the Costa Blanca.
Later the same year I drove it to Trollhatten and the SAAB Festival, briefly re-introduced the car to Erik who confirmed the mileage as being about correct. At the time he sold the car he told me he got more for the number (PAT 7) than they did for the car. After the festival I toured part of the continent before returning home to the Costa Blanca. Total 5000 trouble free miles.

The car was the subject of a 5 page article by Paul Bussey in the July 2008 issue of "Classics Monthly" Road, Race & Rally section and titled as "Swedish Stunner" and on the front cover called Carlssons Pocket Rocket!

Present mileage 25000. The car underwent a full "Nut & Bolt" restoration by the previous owner (1999-2002). Work carried out:

Engine: Full re gasket & new seals
Fitted with genuine SAAB tune kit no 14001 & with
Large valve & gas Flowed head kit no 13995.
Heads converted for unleaded fuel.
Components lightened & balanced
(As per SAAB Sport & Rally Group tuning).

Cooling All new silicon coolant pipes, new radiator,
New water pump and Electric cooling fan. (Second cooling fan available) .

Exhaust Twin pipe big bore to match heads by Ashley.
(Similar to original twin pipe).

Brakes All cleaned, painted & resealed. All new rust proof pipes.
All flexible hoses - Goodrich Stainless Steal.
New front discs, New F & R shoes & pads

Electrics All new terminals. Rewired at starter so all power goes through
New type maxi fuses board. (as on 900/9.3/9-5)
All relays renewed. New headlights for continental regulations i.e LHD

All the above work was carried out by the previous owner between 1999 & 2002

I have a thick binder of history on it including a copy of a previous V5 showing Patricia Ann Carlsson as a previous owner.
Thanks Nick,
Appreciated.

Wish I had the 12.5k. Seems like a decent example with real history behind it

Considering that US Sonett values have increased in the last few years, this seems a very reasonable price. I've seen a number for sale in the last year where the asking price is a lot more.
