How hard is it to change the bulbs? It took me over an hour to change the indicator bulbs so wondering if its going to be the same? Got some SMD bulbs delivered this morning to replace the horrible ''yellow tinted'' normal bulbs.

The wire is reinforced. Pull hard on it and the bulb and holder should come out!

That's what they say, anyway, but I did give mine a help with a long small screwdriver that I twisted in the joint to get it started.

Cheers, i've notot got the biggest of hands but by its a chubby small space to squeeze them into. Will try a long screwdriver. Is it easy to get them back in when i've prized them out?

Not hard at all, I changed my front sidelights for ones with a slightly blue tint to blend in a bit more when they are on with the HID's.

Get hold of the wires and pull firmly whilst wiggling them! If that makes sense.

I changed mine to Philips Bluevision. They are a regular bulb with a blue tint (but still look white when on!) They are a lot less chavvy than LED bulbs and don't give half the issues. Maybe worth a look.

Got the bulbs changed, looks much better. After fitting them, they flashed intermittently at 5 second intervals for about 5mins though, is this normal? No fault codes thrown so happy with that. Not sure how much light they'll give off yet but will check later and get a pic or two up. Took 5mins to change bulbs but half an hour to get the main beam bulbs back in!!!!!

I had the exact same issue on mine using these. That's the problem with SMD lamps, they require so little current to operate that the pulse (flashing) you are seeing is them activating on the CanBus pulse. When you turn the sidelights on they will remain constant however. If you drive without the sidelights switched on fully they will continue to flash like that. Once you lock the car the lights will continue to flash for about 20 seconds or so until the ECU has finished its checks via the CanBus then the lamps will stay off until you open the the car again.
One way around this if you really like the look of the lamps, is to resupply the front sidelights with a direct battery supply via a relay then use the sidelight voltage to switch the relay. This then removes the sidelights of the CanBus diagnostics.

There may well be other ways of doing this and I am sure that some chap on here will be able to help you further.
