make sure you unplug the apc valve, this will save fuel. pump the tyres up to the max alowable pressure.
try not to open windows on journeys.
dont brake as much (so keep a steady distance from the car in front)
turn a/c off and any other usable electronic power.

persoanlly i dont think your get near 600miles to a tank. - thats even alot for a diesel.

you will get 400miles, you may push into 500 (if you do, that is good going)

Ok, good avice there chap

Will have to see how it goes, Im skeptical aswell :bag: ........

I have removed some weight from the car

General rubbish one keeps in a car has been taken out, I roughly weighed the stuff and it was about 3 stone of weight altogether !

I have also folded back the passenger wing mirror, Im considering removing the rear spoiler.

I have removed the car mats, and spare wheel. I have breakdown cover and tyre weld instead ;)

I have removed all tools

tommorow I will be pumping up the tyres to the maximum reccomended psi on the tyre walls which is 44psi

I have also put the dump valve back togther and silenced it, To keep the turbo spooling a bit better when in use.

Tommorow I will disconnect the APC too. I will also remove the un-used head-rests in the rear, parcel shelf, and both rear speakers.

On my to-do list..........

Swap alloys for much lighter steel wheels, and hopefully get thinner tyres with them too for less surface friction.

Current sid reading is 34.6mpg, And I have lots to do still as above

Mpg is on the up everywhere I go :D

I have also folded back the passenger wing mirror ????????????

mate this will probably use more fuel. the wing mirror is designed to be streamlined, plus dont dis-count safety over economy. it could be dangerous.

Flat floor the car - big sheet of polcarb or similair - fair in all the bumps & lumps etc. Makes it more aerodynamic
