Thanks m8. I may as well put TD04 and x-flow IC and build strong Stage 3 and then move up to bigger injectors and MAP sensor later. I will see what funds I will have.

It took a while to get all the parts..., but I am ready for my first remap :) Just ordered 3 bar MAP sensor, so I would need to do the right conversion in the T5 Suite. Unfortunately still running with T25, filathome's TD04 still waiting to be installed... I am currently running Jules_ht's Stage 3 map, did not have time to download it yet, but the max boost according to the boost gauge is just under 1.4 bar. The question is how much could I push T25 with the 3 bar MAP sensor? I understand that 1.4 bar was the limit with the 2.5 bar MAP sensor, as that minus atmospheric pressure, which is around 1 bar gives us 1.5 bar, so requesting more would be out of 2.5 bar MAP sensor scale. I have seen some people running 1.7 bar out of T25, however I do not want to blow it up before April, when TD04 is coming in :)

Thanks, I cannot remember who did I buy from was it you Kev? :) That one has gone already, I needed something up to 2.0 bar :)
Anyone knows how much can I safely push T25 on 3 bar MAP Sensor?

I finally managed to find some time and installed 3 bar MAP sensor as a preparation for a bigger turbo in April

Image

Got it off fleaBay from Jamaica! Just £36 delivered no import fees paid! It is a standard GM MAP sensor so had a pin style connector, which was included and also had some cables sticking out, so after soldering spade connectors to the other side it beautifully connected to the Saab's socket. That makes me wonder, how is that possible, that UK suppliers charge £100+ for the same part?
It obviously needed some map adjustments, which was supplied by Kei.
Thank you mate!
I just needed to change it a bit, reverted back to T5 APC and to stock turbo, moved fuel cut boost pressure to 1.7 bar and pushed the boost limit to 0.7 and 1.1 bar for the 1st/2nd gears respectively.
Just an advice for people planning to install similar part. The pins on the sensor do not match those on the connector, they need to be connected in the reverse order as opposing to standard MAP sensor.

Connecting the MAP sensor to the throttle body I noticed that there is another hose connector, just behind the hose used to connect Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor and it seems to be connected to NOTHING? Am I missing something guys?

AFAIK there are 4 vacuum hose connectors in total. one to the camcover pcv system through a valve, one to the FPR, one to the MAP sensor and one to the dumpvalve.

The large hoses, you should have the IAC valve and then the coolant in/out for the heating. (both of which i can see are connected in your picture)

FPR on T5 system? If I am mistaken and it should be there, then it is not connected! I will take a photo to demonstrate what I am mowning about.

Yes at the right hand end of the fuel rail there should be a pressure regulator with a vacuum connection to the throttlebody. Should be very close to the delivery pipe.

The vac hose that appears to the right of the oil cap in front of the black pipe with the blue cable tie and drops back down again goes to the FPR.

It was vacuum hose which was disconnected from FPR! It basically all rotten and fell off. Replaced it with nice blue silicone one :) Thank you Kyle!
It might have been disconnected for a while..., so how is that possible that I did not feel any adverse effects of that, except a bit of hesitation when pushing the car really hard? I hope I did not make any damage to the engine or other parts, by having it connected to FPR.
Isn't called FSE Power Boost Valve on Trionic 5 engines?

You might have seen this mod under 9-5 Short Shifter thread, but it was not complete at the time, that is how it will go in to the car :D

I have also made some more modifications, since I had a spare housing and the stick I could play with it. I also had aftermarket gear knob, which I quite like I have had to make some adjustments to reverse to make the reverse lock work
1. Cut the top of the plastic sleeve off, and used it as an extender on the bottom.
2. Cut a new groove on existing sleeve to attach the gaiter.
3. Put a spring on the top so it positions the plastic sleeve at the right hight, when not engaging the reverse gear.
4. To stop the plastic sleeve going around and still allow it to go up and down I cut a long 2mm thick and about 20mm long hole down the sleeve, drilled a 2mm hole in the stick itself and put a metal pin, which goes through the stick's and sleeve's holes.
5. Cut a nice metal bracket, to support the reverse lock plastic limiter.

Ste_Gee has supplied spare shifter, thanks mate!

I had always thought that the difference between TD04HL-15T and T25 will not be that big, but it is. I am running the same, rather aggressive map (written by Kei), which I was running on my T25, just converted it to TD04 in T5 Suite. The difference is just staggering, the car pulls like a train. Even on low revs seems to be much more lively, but once it passes 3.5k revs then you cannot stop it and it puts a nice big grin on your face :D
It is a mod worth every penny and every drop of sweat I put into it

Glad you like it mate. You might have to educate me a little more on this short shifter ;)

I forgot to say thank you Phil :)
I can make one for you, but you would need to wait a bit for it, as I am working 10 days flat now :( and then I am away for 2 weeks.
