Hi, decided its time I finally used my all the car cleaning stuff I have bought and never used and have a go at using a clay bar as so many people recommend them, am well happy with the results. So after a wash, clay-bar, gentle cut, polish and then wax, here's the results (although a shame I didn't have my good Carlsson rims on), not perfect but 100 times better than it was. Now need to do the 'vert!!

Cheers. I used Autoglym wash, Bilt Hamber clay bar, Meguairs Speed Glaze (think number 83), Autoglym super resin polish and then finally some Swisswax.

swissvax, cool but what - i guess wax, but which one , BOS, Onyx? Did you use the speedglaze via DA or rotary?

yes sorry, it was the Onyx wax. Yes I applied the speedglaze and the super resin polish using a Meguairs DA polisher.

Cheers. I was really amazed with the clay bar, so easy to use and the paint felt so smooth to touch after, totally recommend it.

Yep, we live near Westcombe Park station.

I've got an 88 T16s in black with the two-tone 16" aero wheels, though it's usually the wife driving it now as she's just passed her test.....

You?

Oily, yes I live in new eltham but am often in and around blackheath. My other carlsson rims are grey centres with polished lips but I put them on my 'vert, will be sending this set of for a refurb soon. Will have to keep an eye out for you.

Cheers for all the comments, i'll just need to make sure I keep her this clean more often now!

Saabnut, yeah I love the sound, its a 3 inch downpipe and then 2:5 inch the rest of the way with one silencer and yep dtm style tailpipes.

Guys I was going to add some photos of my vert but got the following message 'Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached' - what do I need to do to sort?

Cheers,

Jaty

Both exceptional cars.

Upload your photos to photobucket and post the direct link on here using the img button in the full editor.

Maybe I could just use my flickr account; see links below;

(Pictures were taken on my phone, so not the best)

If this doesn't work, I'll join photobucket and do that route.

Anjum - cheers for the tip and comments.

The vert is absolutely lovely. The 3dr is stunning too, but if it were mine I'd want the chrome grille back on it... :)
