Ow do!
I've just fitted some bulbs to the extra space in the indicator housing on my 93.
Looks pretty cool. I think?

Where's the How-to then? And what bulbs have you used? Are the OE ones still in place?

In other words they look good to me.....

Yeah the OE ones are still in place
On the indicator cluster there is a blocked off spacing next to where the indicator bulb is fitted, it's a separate section in the cluster. I think it might be a continental thing I dunno.
I've used white 'Prism' LED bulbs from halfords, snipped some bulb holders off a Merc at a local scrappers and wired them to the sidelight circuit. Drilled a little hole slightly smaller than the LED bulb and it stays in quite snugly.
There's a little gap between that lets the orange light through when the indicator flashes too.

I quite like it!
Just one of those little mods that makes the car feel a little different when you're driving.

I think it's an extra set of reversing lights for the American market. Meant to be quite useful.

Looks cool by the way.

cheers

My only concern over these is do they obscure the light from the indicators ??

So many cars these days have indicators too close to the headlights and from a distance you can hardly see the indicator flashing away for the glare from the other lights . :?

Agreed, I always disliked the cars that had the front indicator inboard of the dipped beam as you can't see them very well........guess what my new car has! The only saving grace I suppose is that I won't be the one trying to see them!

As above,
There's a little gap level with the indicator bulb that lets the orange light through so it's visible from the side.

And Johno, They're in the fog lights too now + an HID conversion.
Gotta stop spendin wonga on bulbs now. Need some 18" conti's for the front, bit slidey slidey, and a bit pricey!

My black one has for the past two years, no questions asked other than the first time when I fitted orange bulbs & he took them out & put normal clear ones in.

You'll have to take into consideration the resistance values then or it may cause you problems
