When you put a new thread up in the Workshop please put your car's year and model in the post subject/thread title, along with just a brief indicator of the problem.

Car Year - Car Model: Brief description of issue. EXAMPLE- 1999 9-3. Problems starting when hot.

For Tech II issues or help requests please state the following in your title ''Tech 2 help required - state issue and your location ''.

Please also add as much information as you can about the problem, to your post.

This will help us to help you, without having to ask basic details such as what car you have.

Threads with non-compliant titles will be moved to The Pit Lane (in which no replies can be posted, but the OP can edit the thread - upon which the thread will be released to the workshop forum, note compliant threads will be moved back when the mod/admin team next visit the Pit Lane. if your thread has been sat in the Pit Lane for 24hrs+ after editing, pm Tech II to request release)

Nb. Generic thread titles for truly generic issues that genuinely are not model or variant specific (such as "how do I change the spring in an forge wastegate actuator") are acceptable

I am hoping the collective on here will be able to advise me on the best route to take. I had my bodywork guy down at the unit to have look at the project 9-5 Aero and well he wasn't impressed.

So first off what i want to achieve. The final aim is a near mint stage 3+ Aero with as many goodies as possible. The colour is unimportant as i will going Skoda Rallye green or Saab Lightning blue. Most of the goodies are still in the boxes, DO88 intercooler, SAS rollbars,345 brakes, powerflex etc

Car 1 Standard 2002 Aero auto in Midnight blue, with electric seats, parking sensors and no other goodies, previously cherished
More importantly it has a dead gearbox BUT a rust free body

Car 2 Stage 3 + full B12 kit 2004 Aero auto in Graphite green, with heated/cooled memory seats, dimming powerfold mirrors, satnav, parking sensors, previously unloved
Good engine and gearbox BUT rotten arches (probably more hidden behind the plastic arches)

Can anyone on here offer any advice re the following
Can the engine and gearbox(or gearbox only) be retro fitted to the 2002 car from the 2004 car?
How big a job is it to retrofit the cooled memory seats and powerfold memory mirrors?

Any or all advice appreciated, as i have to speak to the bodywork guy next weekend
