I went to see them on the 6th July.

They were epic.

Just got tickets to see them again next year!

If it were it would be about 11% and made with chillies. And jet fuel.

We were a good 50m from the stage, and 30m from the nearest pyrotechnics and flame throwers. It was still 110db and a quite warm. Like stood in front of a big bbq warm.

Sounds just like being behind a 747 on start up, I didn't like it when I was paid to be there, no change I would want to part with money for a repeat performance.

I got introduced to Rammstein in 2001 when 'Sonne' got heavy airplay on Kerrang (oh, those heady pre-Youtube days!). I got to admit I really do like them, I think GeoffR and Espin99 are inadvertantly half-right, I remember reading that they were named after the Ramstein airbase, or more specifically the airshow crash, with an extra 'M' added, can't work out what that's about, my German isn't very good these days.
They look brilliant live, certainly a pyrophiles dream, and their onstage antics look fairly extreme as well. I've never been to see them live as Mrs Captain hates them (which I take to mean that they are brilliant as she thinks Kenny G is worth paying money to see).

Rammstein mean Ramming Stone

A stone in the centre of a pair of gates that the gates ram against.

Given the nature of a significant proportion of their lyrics it could be meant as innuendo. For what, take your pick. I don't think there is anywhere they haven't been already!

Ah, now I know where the name comes from.
Yeah, they are certainly no strangers to controversy, reminds me of Scorpions, I was cutting a tree down in between messages before the sun went down, kept whistling 'Winds of Change', couldn't think why.

Same.

And if you look at the schedule for next years tour. They have a rather nice Download sized gap....
